A One in a Millionth Chance

*This is a Klaine and Blellie story. Weird combination, I know, but I had an idea. It may start out as confusing, but it'll become clearer.

*I don't think that there will be POV's, but it will focus on one of the main 4 characters in each chunk of the story. I might do POV's when something important happens though.

*So, every chapter is going to be titled. The title is going to be based off of a lyric of a song, or song title, that I think fits the chapter.

*This chapter is titled by 'Fine By Me' by Andy Grammer, it'll make sense in this chapter :)

"God, I hate planes" Kurt complained as they walked towards the luggage pick-up. Blaine smiled apologetically at him and patted his back as they made their way to through the crowd of travelers. Thye finally got to the luggage carousal and looked through the bags until they grabbed their bags. They quickly got away from the area and Kurt pulled out his phone. "Seems like my step brother is picking us up, so you won't have to meet my dad right off the bat" Kurt smiled "Now, Finn is really tall, so it makes him seem really intimidating" Blaine's face paled, causing Kurt to chuckle slightly. "But don't worry, he's like a big teddy bear" This should've helped…

But it didn't.

Blaine was still freaking out. He hadn't met a boyfriend's parents before…he'd never had a boyfriend that actually wanted him to meet their parents…so he never actually had to worry about it…the only thing he had to worry about with those guys was that he might end up with an asshole.

But, now he was with Kurt, who was way better than him, and deserved way better than him. But he was happy. And now, he was thinking that he might not end up with an asshole after all…

"There's Finn!" Kurt's voice shook Blaine out of his thoughts and they walked over to a tall burly man with short brunette hair. Blaine realized, that yes, he was very, very intimidating. Kurt obviously noticed that Blaine was still freaking out, so he linked his hand with Blaine's empty one. "Teddy bear" He reminded him as they got closer and closer to Finn.

"Kurt!" Finn exclaimed as Kurt tapped him on the shoulder. Finn wrapped his arms around his step-brother and hugged him tightly. "Hey, man!" He exclaimed as he pulled away. "How have ya been?!"

Kurt chuckled and then brushed off his jacket. "I've been good, how have you been?"

"Pretty good, dude!" Finn grinned and then he looked at Blaine and his smile just widened. "You must be Blaine!" Blaine nodded and opened his mouth to say something, but he was cut off by Finn hugging him tightly. Blaine started at him in shock as he released him. "Sorry, dude, I'm just really happy for Kurt" Blaine smiled "It's nice to meet you though!"

"Nice to meet you too, I've heard a lot about you"

"That's not comforting" Finn said, glancing at Kurt as he did so. Kurt laughed and then swatted his arm.

"Relax, it's usually good"

"That's still not comforting."

"So…um, Kurt, how's Rachel doing?" Finn asked awkwardly as they made their way back to Lima from the airport in Columbus. Kurt stared at his step-brother from the passenger's seat, and then glanced back at Blaine, who was watching the conversation with wide eyes. Kurt had told him that Rachel and Finn used to date, apparently they were even engaged at one point, but then they broke up and apparently they haven't talked much since.

"She's…um…good…she's still dating Puck, and she seems happy" Blaine watched as Kurt held his breath as he started at his step brother. Kurt looked at him in shock when Finn smiled at him.

"That's good for them. It's good that they're happy. Honestly, I never pictured Puck settling down, but now that I hear that he's with Rachel, I believe it. He always had a soft spot for her." Finn smiled as put his blinker on and then turned down a winding road.

"So, how's your girlfriend?" Kurt questioned, and Blaine tried to hold back his chuckle. Kurt had told him on the plane that Finn was dating a very nice girl, but Kurt could never remember her name.

"Jen's good." Blaine smiled as Kurt looked back at him with a triumphant look. Kurt had guessed that Jen was her name, but he said that he wasn't completely sure. "I'm thinking about asking her to marry me" Kurt grinned at him and patted his shoulder.

"Finn! That's great! I'm so happy for you"

"Thanks dude"

Blaine was silent for the rest of the ride as he watched Kurt tell Finn what type of ring he should get, or what kind of wedding they should have, or that when they did pick a wedding planner, that Finn should just remember the wonderful wedding Kurt had planned for Carole and Burt.

And Blaine loved the excitement that Kurt got just talking about the wedding. It kind of made him eager to know what the future had in store for them…

Blaine simply shook that thought out of his mind though; he and Kurt had only been dating for about a month…

But as Blaine watched Kurt, he realized that he would love to have a future with Kurt. And that honestly scared the shit out of him considering that they only started dating a few weeks ago…

"It wasn't that bad!" Blake exclaimed as he grasped Nellie's hand, walking down the streets of New York and to the café. "It could've been a lot worse"

"It was awful!" Nellie exclaimed "I don't even know how she got that video! And honestly, it just made me want to puke" Nellie frowned as she remembered the first singer on that damn video. That voice of the one person she thought she could trust, even after not being friends with her for a long time.

Lily Mae.

"Why did it make you want to puke?" Blake asked as he opened the door to the café. Nellie opened her mouth to respond, as she walked in, but a southern voice cut her off.

"NELLSIE!" Nellie looked up and smiled at her blonde friend, thankful that she didn't have to explain what she had meant to Blake. Shanna ran over and hugged her tightly, causing Nellie to let go of Blake's hand. "I'm so glad you're here"

"Why's that?" Nellie asked as the bubbly girl released her.

"The person that usually performs on Thursdays cancelled so I have no entertainment for tonight! Do you think you and Blaine could do it last minute? It would help me out a lot!" Shanna pleaded and Nellie's eyes widened.

"Shanna, Blaine's out of town" Nellie said apologetically

"You can do it by yourself! You've done it before!" Shanna's eyes were filled with hope "Please! I'm willing to pay you double for the trouble!"

"Nellsie, please" Shanna's eyes then flashed to Blake and she grinned "Blake could even perform with you! He's an excellent singer!" Nellie looked over her shoulder at Blake with a curious look, he threw her a sheepish smile and shrugged.

"Fine, we'll do it" Nellie said and Shanna squealed

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Shanna exclaimed, hugging her once more "I'll go get your guys' usuals! They're on the house!" And with that she ran off. Nellie then walked over to a table and sat down, giving Blake a look when he sat down across from her.

"So, you sing?"

"Yes…I was in Glee Club with Blaine, remember?"

"I remember" Nellie said as she stared him down. "I never heard anything about you being 'excellent' though" Blake looked down at his hands and then sighed.

"I'm not excellent, but I'm good, I guess. Not as you, Blaine, Kurt, or Rachel, but I can hold a note" Nellie gave him a stern look, knowing he wasn't telling her everything. "Okay…so I may have done a solo once or twice…" Nellie raised an eyebrow, stern look still on her face. "Or more times than that"

"Well, that's good." It was Blake's turn to raise an eyebrow at her. "You're singing with me, so I need you at least solo good" She teased and he stuck his tongue out at her. She smiled softly and opened her mouth to say something witty about how he was childish, but Shanna interrupted her by placing down two cups and grinning at them.

"I didn't know you two knew each other" Shanna smiled and then looked between them "Now, please tell me you two are dating, because if you aren't, then I'll just have to figure out a way to get you together" Nellie blushed and then nodded.

"Yes, Shan, we're dating" The blonde let out a loud squeal, which caused Nellie to jump slightly "Calm down, Jesus"

"I'm sorry! I'm just so excited! First I find out you two actually know each other! Then I find out that you two are dating!" Shanna let out another squeal, causing some couple in the corner of the shop to stare at them. "Next you're going to tell me that Blaine and Kurt are dating too!"

"Well…" Blake trailed off with a smile

"What?!" Shanna exclaimed, placing a hand over her heart "My Lord! If you guys were on a TV show, you two would be the most shipped couples!" Shanna grinned "God, people would cry if you guys broke up!" Nellie looked at her and then patted her shoulder softly.

"Hey, Shan, maybe you should stay off Tumblr for a while…" Shanna stared at her with large, innocent blue eyes and then she shook her head. "Shanna…"

"It's so much fun though!"

"You're going crazy though!" Nellie let out a laugh as she started at her bubbly friend.

"I've always been a little crazy though" This made Blake and Nellie laugh. Shanna grinned and then patted the two of them on the shoulders "I should get back to work! But just know that I love you two and you are adorable together! Love ya!" She chirped and then skipped off to help a customer who wanted more coffee.

"How does she have so much energy all the time?" Blake asked as he stared after her, arched eyebrow as he tried to figure it out.

"I don't know, but it's insane" Blake let out a chuckle "So…we should start talking about what we're going to sing tonight…" Blake smiled at her and nodded. "I'll have to hear you sing first"

"We'll get the bags later! I'm hungry!" Finn exclaimed and raced out of the car and into the house, leaving Kurt and Blaine behind. Kurt only chuckled and got out of his brother's truck, Blaine following behind him. Kurt smiled softly at him and Blaine smiled back as they both shut their car doors.

"Sorry about him. Food is his first priority" Blaine chuckled "I wonder if he still eats as much as he did in high school…if he does, then we better hurry or else there will be no food left for us" Kurt grasped Blaine's hand and pulled him towards the front door, which was left wide open. "Come on! It'll be fine, I promise!"

"Kurt!" Kurt was attacked right when he entered the room. He smiled as he hugged Carole back, having to let go of Blaine's hand to do so. "Oh my! You look fabulous! Guess that's what happens when you work at as an editor at a fashion magazine" Carole winked as she pulled away, and then her grinned only widened when she saw Blaine. "Oh! And you must be Blaine!" Kurt couldn't help but chuckle as Carole pulled his boyfriend into a hug. Blaine smiled and then hugged her back.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Hummel" Kurt rolled his eyes at the politeness, knowing Carole would tell him to call her Carole.

"Please, call me Carole!" Bingo. "We really aren't that formal in this house!" Carole exclaimed. She then turned to Kurt and winked once again, mouthing the words 'He's cute'. Kurt blushed bright red and then simply followed Carole into the kitchen. "Kurt, you're father got stuck at the garage, but he'll be home soon" Kurt nodded and threw a smile at Blaine, who simply smiled back nervously.

"What's for dinner?" Kurt asked, looking over at the stove, smiling at the thought of just being home again.

"Spaghetti, I hope that's okay for both of you. I didn't have time to go to the store after my shift at the hospital" She looked at them apologetically and then went over and began to stir the spaghetti noodles. "I'm sorry"

"It's fine Carole" Kurt said after he had shared a look with Blaine. "We both like spaghetti"

Carole let out a sigh of relief and looked up. "Well, I'm glad. Or else, I would've felt awful. Like when Rachel came over for the first time, and I made meat, unbeknownst to the fact that she's a vegan" Kurt chuckled at the memory, Carole apologizing over and over, going into the kitchen, asking Rachel what she wanted instead.

"And then you yelled at Finn for not telling you…" Kurt sighed happily "Good times, good times"

"Please, you just liked when Finn got yelled at" Carole teased and Kurt nodded with a grin.

"That I did" Kurt agreed and was about to say more when he heard the front door slam shut and then heavy footsteps. Kurt grinned and then turned towards the kitchen entry way and awaited his father's arrival.

"Oh good, you are here. When I saw Finn's truck outside, the only thing that came to my mind was, 'Oh man, did that boy forget his brother, again?'" Kurt grinned and then walked over and embraced his father tightly. "Good to see you kid"

"Good to see you too, Dad" Kurt mumbled and then pulled away "You better still be sticking to your diet?" Kurt smiled when Burt rolled his eyes and then nodded.

"My God, you're worse than Carole" Burt grumbled and patted Kurt's head, causing the boy to glare and immediately fix it, making everyone laugh. Burt's eyes finally flickered over to Blaine and Blaine stiffened slightly. "And you must be Blaine, I've heard a lot about you" Blaine smiled and shook Burt's outstretched hand.

"I've heard a lot about you too. It's nice to meet you, sir" Burt chuckled.

"It's Burt, kid, just call me Burt"

Kurt grinned at the exchange and then glided over to help Carole set the table. Maybe this wouldn't be that bad after all. And maybe, his father wouldn't make Blaine want to run for the hills…And maybe Kurt himself wouldn't do that either…

"I don't know about this….I'm honestly not that good, Nellie" Blake said nervously as he looked at the packed café. Nellie rolled her eyes and grinned at him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, making him look down at her. She leaned up and pressed her lips to his and then pulled away.

"Relax" She said "You are good enough, and you need to believe that, or else you won't be good at all. Trust me, nerves affect how you sing"

"So, I'll be even worse?" Blake groaned "Great!"

"Hush, you'll be perfect, we've practiced this all afternoon, you'll be fine, we'll be fine" Nellie smiled "If you're having issues, just look at me and not at the audience. Relax,-seriously- and you'll be fine"

Blake looked out at all of the people and then nodded, taking in a deep breath. "Got it" He breathed and then he looked back at her. "Let's do this" Nellie grinned and then grabbed her guitar and slung it around her neck, checking to make sure that it was tuned one last time.

"Hey, guys!" Nellie said into the microphone as Blake grabbed the other one, holding onto it tightly "You might know me as Blaine Anderson's back-up singer! He would be here right now, but he's out of town, so I've brought along his best friend, Blake Jenner" Nellie smiled at Blake, who smiled nervously in return. "And he's amazing." She winked "So, here we go"

Blake nodded at her and she started strumming. She waited for the intro to be over with, and then she started singing the lyrics she changed slightly.

Now, I'm not the type
Type of girl to remain
With the guy, with the guy too shy
Too afraid to say, he'll give his heart to me forever
You're not the boy that will fall to his knees
With his hands clenched tight
Begging, begging me please
To stay with you for worse and for better

She smiled at Blake encouragingly and he smiled back before he sang his own part.

But I'm staring at you now
There's no one else around
I'm thinking you're the girl for me

She smiled at him as he sang it perfectly, and then she joined him for the chorus.

I'm just saying it's fine by me
If you never leave
And we can live like this forever
It's fine by me

Then she let him do his solo part.

In the past I would try
Try hard to commit to a girl
Wouldn't get too far
And it always somehow seemed to fall apart

And with you, you, you
I can see what I need
I can dream realistically
I knew that this was different from the start

And it seems that every time
We're eye to eye
I can find another piece of you
That I don't wanna lose
I'm staring at you now
There's no one else around
I'm thinking you're the girl I need

She once again joined him for the chorus,

I'm just saying it's fine by me
If you never leave
And we can live like this forever
It's fine by me

I'm just saying it's fine by me
If you never leave
And we can live like this forever
It's fine by me

The next part she took, smiling as she did so.

And it's never easy
Darling, believe me
I'm as skeptical as you
When I think of life without 'us'
She's like "what we supposed to do?"
But I don't wanna come on too strong

Blake joined her on the chorus and smiled at her lovingly, and that made her heart pound loudly in her chest. Luckily she knew the words to this song really well, because her mind went blank as he looked at her like that. And with the smirk that followed shortly, she knew that he knew that.

I'm just saying it's fine by me
If you never leave
We can live like this forever
It's fine by me

It's fine by me if you never leave
And we can live like this forever
It's fine by me
I'm just saying it's fine by me
If we never leave
And we can live like this forever
It's fine by me

The song ended and everyone clapped. Nellie smiled and then started strumming the intro to the next song, a content smile on her face as she did so.

"I told you it wouldn't be that bad" Nellie said and Blake shrugged with a grin. "You know I'm right!" She giggled "Admit it!"

"Fine, you were right" Blake confessed with a goofy smile etched onto his face.

"Now, if we're going to continue to date, you need to get used to saying that a lot" Nellie teased, adding a wink at the end. Blake shoved her playfully, causing her to laugh loudly as they walked towards Shanna to get the money they earned.

And as they did that, Blake couldn't help but think, for what felt like the millionth time since he had met Nellie, that she would be the death of him…

But what a way to go, right?

Yay! Two chapters! Sorry for the late update! I've got a lot on my plate, guys! Love you though! Thanks for reading!
