Rebecca's POV

I froze. "W-what," I stutter. I just thought I was a freak of nature, like Leah, (no offense Leah). And I didn't really mind. I had Seth. I could turn into a freaking wolf, why would I not like that?

I heard Sam hesitate on the phone, almost like he was distracted. "I can't talk right now but it has to do something with the Children of the Moon. Don't call anybody, don't tell anyone where you are." Sam said hastily and then all I heard the disconnected sound.

Seth looked at me, and put the phone down. "Are you okay?" He asked.

I tried laughing it off, but I think it just sounded like gurgles. Real attractive Rebecca. Nice going. I mentally slap myself.

"Come here," he coaxes, and opens his arms and I crawl into his lap. He wraps his arms around me and I suddenly feel really relaxed. "Tell me what your minds on," he asks soothingly.

"I-I don't even know. The theory should have me elated but for some reason, I'm starting to feel feverish. Kind of like the first day we met. Like... I need to shift into wolf form to protect myself? I don't even know Seth." I said, leaning my head into his chest. "I'm sorry I'm being such a Debby Downer today. Maybe we should go to that teen party? I read about it on a flyer on the wall. It'll get our minds off this and it'll probably be fun." I got off him and looked at him, trying gauge his reaction. "I mean it's totally okay if you don't want to, but I want to, kind of. I mean, I heard they were serving mocktails at the club, and I always wanted one. Or we could just watch whats coming on TV. You know, it's not really a big deal to me-ummff,"

Seth shut up my rambling with a kiss. His soft lips moved with mine. Although he had took me by surprise, my eyes started closing as the kiss got heavier. I heard a low growl from him and before I even realized he had flipped us over.

"I'd love to go," Seth murmured and attacked my lips again, growling in that hungry way.

I gently broke the kiss, but the growl scared me. It made me get butterflies in my stomach and want to rip his clothes off but at the same time, shield my own body. In his eyes was the same look as the morning. I wasn't ready. I wanted too, really badly too, but I just...not now.

I mean I know that there isn't going to be someone else and no one will never love me like Seth does, and I wont love anyone like Seth but honestly it's only been a month. One month! That's too soon. Call me a prude but that's just how it is.

I felt his chest rumble as he laughed softly. "If someone asked me a month ago that I'd be with my imprint, on a cruise ship, hiding from a bunch of wako children of the moon... actually maybe I'd have believed you." He finished thoughtfully. I rolled my eyes affectionately and pecked him on the lips.

"Remember our first date?" I asked, smiling.

"Yeah, and I accidentally hit him in the jaw," He laughed. "I don't really regret it right now though. He was totally hitting on you. Nobody gets to hit on my imprint but me." He said smiling, but holding me possessively.

"Wait, Seth, remember what he said? Oh my god, how did we not realize sooner? It's Josh! He was all like 'You stupid shifter blabla wait till the full moon'!" I said, trying to mimic Josh's voice.

"Wow, I never realized how bad your mimicking voice is."

"Seth! Not the time to discuss my mimicking, which does not suck, by the way. Call Sam!" I exclaimed. How did we not realize sooner? It was so obvious. What did they want from me though? That creepy half wolf half man said they wanted me. Not Seth. No, just me. I climbed off Seth as I suddenly started feeling nauseous again.

"Sorry, sorry," Seth said, reaching for the phone. As he dialed, my head started to pound, and I was quivering like my body was getting ready to shift. I wasn't angry though. I tried to stop myself from quivering. I couldn't shift in the room, I'd break something. "Sam?" Seth asked into the phone. I couldn't hear what Sam was saying but Seth continued. "Sam we need you to find Josh, right away." He paused. "No, I don't know his last name. I didn't like the kid and stayed away from him." He paused again and listened. "Yes, the outsider-" and as Seth was saying this the door burst open.

A six foot man that looked like he was 26 stood at the door. His hair was midnight black and had a beard, kind of like Marvels Wolverine. Accept not good looking. His eyes were pure black, and it seemed that his pupils were getting bigger. He was soaping wet, and smelled of salt. "Found you," He said, smiling to show his canines.

Seth and I were on the ground immediately, in defensive positions. The call to Sam was all but forgotten. My head was throbbing and I felt like I was on the verge of throwing up. I was shaking so bad, its amazing I didn't create an earthquake. It was like I was spazzing.

Seth took a defensive stand in front of me. "Who are you?" He asked, narrowing his eyes.

The man laughed. "Don't tell me you've forgotten me already." When we looked at him blankly he rolled his eyes, "C'mon, am I really not scary enough for you two?" Seth and I glanced at each other, exchanging a silent conversation.

Do you know this idiot? Seth asked with his eyes.

Not a clue. What a psycho. But I'm getting bad vibes. I reply back. It's quite amusing actually, how we can have silent conversations.

"Stop it you two!" The man snarled. "You may not have your lovey dovey silent conversations in my presence."

"Who the hell are you?" I asked, turning to meet his eyes. And when I did so, it took every ounce of my strength not to shift immediately. I gritted my teeth and tried to hold my body at bay. A giant wolf on a cruise ship will attract a lot of unwanted attention.

Obviously.

"I suppose I must tell you now," the man sighed, "It is I, the pack leader of the Children of the Moon." He replied. He gave us a look as if we should bow or something. Seth and I glanced at each other again. This moron was the one that threatened us that night? "Yes, yes I know I'm not being evil or anything but you see my maniac side only comes out during the fool moon." He replied, rolling his eyes. "Anyway, come Rebecca."

With out meeting his eyes, I asked as harshly as I could, "And why the hell would I do that?"

He sighed like I was causing him a lot of pain by asking these questions. "Or else I'll sink this ship and make sure your imprint dies. Is that good enough of a reason for you, shifter?"

I snorted. "Sink the ship? You and what army?"

The man looked at me like I was deranged, and muttered something under his breath. He turned to the hallway and gave an impatient 'come here' gesture. Immediately 10 men came and surrounded the door. "I have the rest of my men positioned around the ship and at my command will sink this ship if you do not cooperate, lots of innocent people will die." He said, smiling as if this was nothing. "Grab the boy," he commanded. On cue, five bulky men came at Seth and pinned his arms behind his back.

"Okay...that army..." I muttered to myself.

"Don't try anything funky, boy." One said in a low voice. I quickly scanned the room. There were two many for me to take out. Especially in my human form.

"Are you kidding me? I didn't even struggle. What makes you think I'd do anything funny?" Seth asked rolling his eyes. I could see the gears in his head working though. He had a plan, but he couldn't tell m yet.

"Come, sweet heart." The leader said, coming toward me to what I think he thought was a welcoming expression. Every step he took toward me made me want to shift more. It was like my body unconsciously knew he was a threat and that I shouldn't be in a vulnerable form.

"Stay away from me," I said in my most menacing voice. Sadly, I don't think it was all that threatening since he just continued his creepy ass smile.

"Come now, don't be like that sugar," he said, grinning wickedly. It was moments like this that I wished that Seth and I could read each others mind even in a human form. I glanced at my imprint and Seth gestured me to do as said.

We'll figure it out, but right now we can't endanger all these people on this ship. It's our job to protect the innocent. He communicated with his eyes.

I sighed, knowing that there wasn't anything I could do about this now, especially when I couldn't shift. Stupid boat. "Take me away," I said dryly.

"Excellent choice," said, grabbing on to my arms.

And to think I was going to go to a party tonight.
