I sit on the bridge across from Titans Tower.

Us Titans, we all seem to have something in common.
We were all bitterly ripped out of our homes,
away from our parents, guardians, protectors,
one way or another.
Left all alone.
But we soon found, we could be alone, together.

Titan tower is a sanctuary for us.
A substitute for a
mother kissing your forehead
and a father pushing you further.
It's the formula instead of the breast milk.
It's the shoulder instead of the bosom.
It's a family instead of a home.

The Titans are their own mentors,
their own k'norfkas,
their own patrol,
their own monks,
their own family.
And while these teenagers have nowhere else to go,
there's nowhere they'd rather be.
