I treasured every review you left me first time around and have downloaded them in case they are deleted now I've removed 48 chapters. All except the person who hid behind the guest mask, accusing me of implying I would complete the rewrite by a certain time and then not delivering. That wasn't true and it was unnecessarily cruel. The story will be back when I'm happy with it and not when you demand it in such a way.

***A warning - part of this story will contain kidnap, separation, desperation and having to move on when you've given up hope. If that's not your cup of tea, then don't bother. The kidnap will come as a shock.

Chapter 1 - Babysitting

"Mom, please don't ask me to do this. Isn't she just a kid? This is not going to work."

"Edward, she is not a kid anymore. She's nearly twenty-two now and it's only for a couple of weeks. Come on darling, when do I ever ask you for anything?"

"Can't she stay with Alice? Weren't they like best friends? Why do I have to take her?"

"You know your sister is living with us in Forks for the time being, and Bella needs something in Seattle while she goes through her interviews and gets a job."

"And how long will that take? She could be here for months!"

My mother's frustrated sigh filled the speaker of my phone and I felt bad, but having the girl stay with me was inconvenient. It would be much better for everyone if I could get out of this.

"That's very unlikely, darling. She has an honors degree from one of the best cooking schools in the country and she's a lovely girl, so they'd be mad not to snap her up right away. Look, if it goes on for more than a few weeks, we'll make some other arrangements."

"Mom, you know I work nights, so I'll hardly be company for her. Don't do this."

"She's going to be working in a restaurant, Edward. Some of them have been known to open for dinner and even close late on occasion."

I was getting nowhere. She was using her Momma Bear voice on me, the one she used to get me to fly across the country and come home for her summer party each year. We both knew she had skills in coercing, eventually getting her way by beating me down with an answer ready for every possible argument I could think of. Damn woman. I loved that about her.

"Edward Cullen, you know this girl is important to me, just like her mother was. Charlie Swan's been a good friend for as long as I can remember and if I'm not mistaken, he helped you out a few times when you were a teenager, so stop whining and get some space cleared out for her because she'll be back in ten days. I'll speak to you next week and I expect you to be ready."

"Wow. That did my head in, Cullen."

My friend, Jazz, was grinning and still shaking his head in amazement. He sat on a bench with me, looking out over the water with our coffee-to-go, looking like hell and reeking of a night without sleep.

We certainly hadn't planned what happened last night. It just started out as a beer after work, but we got a lot more than expected, and were both still coming back down to earth.

I recognized the redhead immediately from a hook up when I first arrived in Seattle and I remembered those curves. She and her friend made it obvious that they were looking for fun, so we followed them back to someone's apartment after a few shots.

When they started making out with each other and taking their clothes off, we had two choices: watch for a while and leave them to it, or join them. They knew exactly what they were doing, watching us watching them, so when they showed us some interest, I pulled them apart to have a turn with her friend. We ended up doing it with both of them repeatedly and there were blowjobs and lots of screaming - a real orgy.

A beer after work turned into a two-for-one special and I was now exhausted.

Jasper Whitlock worked in HR at the hospital and we found ourselves frequenting the same bars, spending our down time amongst a similar group of horny women. He knew he was good-looking and often played up the Texan accent, but we were never competitive. There were just too many females to go around who had little interest in finding Mr. Right.

We felt comfortable enough to double up a couple of times when the opportunity presented itself and, while we never touched each other in a sexual manner, watching him screw a beautiful naked woman until she screamed pushed my buttons, especially when the other one was happy to suck my cock while it happened.

Jazz looked like he was daydreaming, gazing out towards the mountains with glassy red eyes, absently rubbing his hand over the scruff on his chin. "I don't really understand bisexuality but Jesus…that redhead… You ever think about having tits like that on tap, you know, settling down?"

I snorted. "I don't think you'd want to settle down with girls like that, Jazz." I drained the last of my coffee, unsure why he'd even contemplate it.

"Yeah, probably not. It's just… I don't know… Did you ever find someone that appealed to you more than the others?"

I coughed out a laugh, thinking my opinion was the last one he'd want. "Uh, only once, and I don't even know where she is now. It was a while ago and I'm sworn off relationships these days because you know I don't have the time. Are you looking for a girlfriend Jazz?"

"I don't know, but I certainly didn't have a problem with anything that happened last night, so count me in if they want a repeat. In fact, I bet you fifty they call before the end of the week." His cheeky grin made me chuckle.

I shoved on his shoulder and replied, "I'm not taking that bet because we both know it's a given." I looked at my phone and realized I had to get moving. "Oh, by the way, my place is going to be out of action for a while. A friend of the family is moving in for a few weeks and she cannot find out about…what goes on." His eyebrows shot straight up in interest.

"Woohoo! Do I get to meet her? Is she cute?" I suddenly felt protective, like a fist was forming in my hand.

I turned to face him and squeezed his shoulder. "She's like my cousin, Jazz ; she's just a young girl who I haven't seen for years. You keep your paws off this one because my whole family would kill me, get it?"

He looked disappointed and then shrugged. I wasn't sure what was going on in his head but I had a fair idea. I just hoped I hadn't made her look more attractive by trying to defend her.

"Hey, Edward, now you've got someone to take to the charity ball so you can't say no! Come on, we can have some fun!"

"Nope, I already told you I'm working. Look I'm back on at four, so I'll have to catch you later. I really don't know how I'm going to get through this shift and focus on patients. Christ, that was something last night." I pushed my hair back off my forehead, knowing I needed a shower.

"Yeah, it's going to take a while to wipe this smile off my face. I'll see you around, Cullen." He stared out at the bay, ignoring me as I left, and then called after me. "If you're not going, can I borrow your tux?"

I laughed at him, not even looking back. "Sure, give me a call."
