A/N: (I have been resurrected!) Please read the L.A.B.B. Case before this. Either that, or the wiki. Also this is a short but thoroughly confusing piece (I think), so further clarification might be needed. In that case, please review, PM, email, etc.

Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

..

..

Beyond Birthday spreads powdery white foundation over his near-translucent skin. Smiling at his smooth complexion, he asks, in a high, girlish voice,

"What do you think of this, Lawliet?"

But Lawliet does not answer.

Then Beyond Birthday pats scarlet rouge onto his pale cheeks. Pouting at himself in the vanity mirror, he asks, in a false, contrived tone,

"Am I pretty like you now, Lawliet?"

But Lawliet does not respond.

Next Beyond Birthday dips long, dark hairs into a jar of glue and applies them to his eyelashes. Reaching down, he places his hands on his lover's cheeks.

"Do I look similar enough yet, Lawliet?" Beyond Birthday whispers, breathing slowly and deliberately onto the clammy skin beneath him.

But Lawliet does not reply.

Harsh, rapid breaths of anger echo in the silence.

"Why won't you love me, Lawliet," he hisses as he bends down to paint his lips an indecent shade of ruby.
