Ollie looked over his glasses to find a very familiar figure standing in the doorway of his office.
Easing back in his chair, there was an air of contentment as he watched his girl walk toward him, throwing her jacket and bag off to the side enroute.
He readily accepted her into his lap, arms around her waist as he leaned in for a kiss.
"How was court?" he murmured when they parted.
"Mm," she responded, running her fingers through his hair. "I won."
He chuckled gently. "I expected nothing less."
Cassie seemed to be in an affectionate mood this evening, but he had no objections when her lips covered his once again.
Not for long. "Ahem." Their pleasurable activity was interrupted.
"Well, if it's alright with you lovebirds, we're off."
Ollie shifted his head to glance toward the door.
As Tommy and Harry moved toward the elevator, they heard the last of their conversation.
"You owe me five bucks."
As they heard Harry's replying snort, they looked at each other. "Do we want to know?"
"Nah." Ollie pecked her on the lips. "Home?"
The lights of the law offices of Harry Korn dimmed as its last occupants slipped out into the night.
Doing up her coat, Cassie wrapped her arms around Ollie's as they meandered down the street, on their way home.
