How do I feel?:

Runo stared up at the sky thoughtfully, pen resting on her chin as she contemplated what she wanted to write next.

Sometimes she liked to get away from the bustle and stress of her family restaurant, and relax underneath the park's trees.

Her emerald eyes lit up as an idea came to mind, and she began to compose an entry.

Dear Diary,

Yup its been one busy week for sure. Me and Alice have been swamped with tasks. I don't mind sweeping and doing the dishes every once in a while, but when it comes to cleaning after customers like Dan, forget about it.

Seriously, who is that irresponsible enough to leave crumbs littering the booth seats?

I can't count how many times I've yelled at him for it, and each and every time he flashes that umber eyed, puppy dog look and apologizes, "I'm sorry Runo!"

And guess what happens the next day? Ugh...it's enough to make a girl wanna rip her hair out.

Julie would probably have a heart attack at the thought, lol.

Somethings been weird though lately. Normally at the end of the day, I'm the one stuck closing up shop.

Usually after all my duties are done there's no one left, with the exception of an occasional late night coffee drinker.

But recently Dans been hanging around. And not just to give some shocking Bakugan news.

He waits until I'm done and then walks me home. I don't mind having company, especially when it's night but I mean why now and never before?

Obviously Dan doesn't have to, so what's on that jerks mind?

We've been friends for years, and normally I can tell you anything about him like the back of my hand.

For example, he has a weird pudding obsession. His favorite color is red. And he is the most forgetful person on the planet, aka forgetting my birthday two years in a row straight!

He sits there, day after day, making excuses to stay late. But I've caught him staring over at me while I work.

That is definitely weird behavior, or is it just me?

One night I asked him why he wanted to walk me home, and he just smiled, somehow using his charm to make me forget about it.

Did I just say charm? There is nothing charming about Dan Kuso! He eats with his mouth open and his hair is alway messy.

... He's also a real good friend, loyal to a fault. If you ever need someone to talk to, he'll be there with that everlasting dopey smile. If you were ever lost in the rain he'd be the first to give you his coat.

Am I actually... falling in love with him?

I've tried to talk to Alice before about Dan, but she seems distant lately. And if anything, she usually wants to chat about Shun.

I'm just so confused!

With that Runo slammed her diary shut and flopped over backwards, into the grass.

"Stupid Dan..." Runo murmured, a sadness to her expression. How could she possibly figure out if he liked her anyway?

After all, if she was taking this thing the wrong way, then she could wind up ruining their friendship.

Worse of all, her heart was in knots, trying to understand if she cared about him in that way.

"Runo!' A voice cried, shaking her from her thoughts. She looked up to see Alice at the park's gate, gently waving her over.

"That's my cue." Runo sighed, knowing it was time for her to get back to work.

Secretly, she was glad for the interruption, anything to get her away from the mental gymnastics she was dealing with.

Hoping to her feet, Runo ran over, and the two headed back to her family restaurant.

Neither noticed the book left behind, pages fluttering in the breeze.

And there you have it ^^ As the viewer you can decide who finds that book for the next chapter! Stay tuned and thanks for reading. I promise the next chapter will be longer!~lily
