Nick was walking down the corridor and heard someone whimpering behind one of the doors. He knocked on the door but got no answer, he slowly opened the door and seen Jenny sat in the corner of the room with tears streaming down her face. She looked up at him and they locked eyes for a few moments. He walked over and pulled her into a hug, "What's wrong?" She struggled to answer and eventually managed to say "He thought I was cheating on him and he called off the wedding". He pulled her in closer to his chest and she sobbed into his chest for another hour.
"Hey why don't we get out of here and go and get some dinner?" He said sympathetically. "Ok. Um, I know this is a lot to ask but well could I stay with you for a bit because he's given me a week to move out, but I don' think I can stand to be around him" She looked down at the floor and he moved his hand under her chin and pulled her head up so he could look into her beautiful brown eyes. "Of course you can, you can stay as long as you want". They both smiled at each other stared into each other's eyes. "How about we go to the house get some of your stuff then go back to mine for a takeaway?" "Yeah I'd like that".
They both went to the house and thankfully he wasn't there so she quickly packed a bag and they both drove to Nick's house. They quickly ordered some food and he went to make the spare bed. Jenny sat there and remembering what he said. If she had the choice now she wouldn't want to leave, his hug, and how safe she felt in his arms and his beautiful blue eyes. There was a knock at the door and Nick came running down the stairs and opened the door, he then came in with a bag with hot food. They both walked into the kitchen and put food on the plates. They sat there talking and when they finished when into the living room. They talked for a bit longer until Jenny fell asleep on the sofa. Nick carefully picked her up and cradled her close to his chest as he slowly walked up the stairs; he placed her on the bed and pulled the duvet over her. He kissed her on the head and whispered "goodnight Jennifer Lewis".
