Yes Or No

By WonderlandIsAnIllusion

My name is Edgar Gore. Edgar is normally a boy's name, but it doesn't matter for being so called normal is over-rated. I have a hunched back and I was born that way. My parents figure that no boy will want to go out with me because of my hunch back, but they are wrong for Weird Boy has asked me out and wants to become my boyfriend.

I do not know whether to say "Yes" or "No". I have no plans to tell my parents for they might pressure me into saying 'Yes'. I want it to be my own choice and I'm in high school. Weird Boy's name is Stephen Queen, but he likes being called Weird Boy and it doesn't bother him. He isn't pressuring me into giving him an answer which is a relief. I'm not sure if I'm ready or anything, but...

"Yes, You can be my boyfriend." I informed him a couple of days later. He smiled and then he pulled me into a hug.

"I'm so happy, Edgar." He told me, his eyes looking into mine, and I'm not use to people actually looking at me. "I thought for sure you would say no because I'm so weird and stuff."

"You are not that weird." I told him and he tilted his head to the side. "You do not have a hunched back."

"It's interesting you have a hunch back, Edgar. If anyone makes fun of you...I'll have Miss Whiskers attack that person or persons." Weird Boy stated firmly and he kissed me on the cheek. My cheeks turned red, he smiled, and hugged me. "I like you a lot and we can get to know each other better. Do you want to go to the movies?"

"Sure." I answered and grinned widely at him. "Are you afraid of horror films?"

"No. I love them." Weird Boy told me, his big eyes looking into mine, and it was almost too much for no one has really looked at me that much.

"That's great because I love them too. Plus I enjoy seeing the gory scenes." I said calmly while grinning and Weird Boy grinned back. We didn't kiss, but that's okay because we plan to go nice and slow for why should things be rushed? Hugs are nice. The other people at the movies screamed and jumped at the so called scary parts of the movie, but Weird Boy and I were grinning through the whole movie while holding hands. First time holding someone's hand and it felt great. His hand wasn't clammy or anything.
