So, if you have not watched up to episode 9 of season 2, I suggest you turn back now. This happens during the lady in the lake episode and may be considered a spoiler? I don't really know. It just popped in my head while watching it. I hope you enjoy.
Disclaimer: I own absolutely nothing but my computer and one wacky brain.
Many unusual things happened in Camelot.
In fact, between the viscous undead knights, crazy faerie plots, occasional magical beast invasion, and rancid troll wives, you really had no idea what to expect next. One thing was for sure, you always needed to expect the unexpected, or at least that's what Morgana thought was the most prudent way to deal with it all.
But, this, well this one was by far the most unexpected of them all.
The lady Morgana clamped her hand over her mouth trying to stifle the laughter threatening to spill out. What in the world was he doing?
Arthur stood in front of the mirror with a concentrated look across his face and his shirt firmly stuffed under his elbows while poking and prodding at his stomach. He turned sideways and hunched over before straightening back up and turning to face Morgana.
"Morgana, I need an honest answer."
"Of course my lord," Morgana managed to say with a half-laugh.
Arthur turned back to the mirror letting the tunic drop to its original position and twisting to glance at himself from the side before looking searchingly back up at her.
"Does this shirt make me look fat?" Arthur deadpanned.
"No?" Morgana answered now on the brink of hysterical laughter. "I mean of course not my Lord," she said as seriously as possible," you are as fit as ever."
"Hmmm," Arthur considered this looking back at himself in the mirror before giving an appreciative nod. "Good, good," he mumbled waltzing out of the room, "Getting fat my arse, that Merlin, what rubbish."
As he shut the door, Morgana finally broke into peals of laughter clutching at a nearby nightstand to keep upright.
Yes, many strange things happened in Camelot, but that one took the cake, Morgana thought rushing off to tell Gwen.
