Song: Every time We Touch by Cascada

Couple: Annie/Finnick

Annie walked to the graveyard with a bouquet of lilies in her hands. Tears fell down her cheeks as she thought of the one person who had promised not to leave her. But he had left her. He had left her as suddenly as he had found her. And she could never adjust to the reality of that.

I still hear your voice, when you sleep next to me.
I still feel your touch in my dreams.
Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why
Without you it's hard to survive.

Annie placed the lilies on his grave and sat silently in front of it, wondering why he had gone away, why he had left her. Was it because she was crazy? Because she was insane? Because he was sick and tired of her? Johanna had yelled at her when she had told her why she thought Finnick had left her. She had grabbed her shoulders and had shaken her so hard, her shoulders had hurt. "Don't ever say that again." She had said in a low and angry voice. She hadn't said it again, but she had thought of it. All of the time.

'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling.
And every time we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.

She wanted him near him, with her. She wanted him to hold her and kiss her and hug her. Like he used to. She wanted him to whisper soothing words into her ear and tell her it would be alright. And she wanted to believe him again. She wanted to believe that it would be alright.

'Cause every time we touch, I feel the static.
And every time we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so...
I can't let you go.
Want you in my life.

How many people had told her that everything would be fine? How many people had told her that Finnick was watching over her? How many people had told her to stay strong, for herself and for her baby? But she couldn't. Not without him there. Not without his hand in hers. Not without his strong arms around her, leading her to safety and protecting her.

Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.
They wipe away tears that I cry.
The good and the bad times, we've been through them all.
You make me rise when I fall.

Whenever she had fallen into one of her trances, he would always bring her back. Always tell her that she wasn't crazy or insane. And now, she was permanently stuck in reality. She used to laugh bitterly at how ironic it was. The person who had brought her back to reality had turned it into a cruel and harsh one. And now all she did was cry.

'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling.
And every time we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.

She needed him. She needed him more then food or water. She needed him more then she needed the ocean or the beach. Because he was her ocean. Her ocean of love. And now he was her ocean that was trying to drown her. Trying to make her fall into the darkness and the cold so that the tides could wash over her and engulf her.

'Cause every time we touch, I feel the static.
And every time we kiss, I reach for the sky.
Can't you hear my heart beat so...
I can't let you go.
Want you in my life.

But he was never coming back. How many times had Johanna told her that? Told her that he was in heaven now and that he had found his peace. And that he was watching her and waiting for her to find her peace. And Johanna had reminded her that he had left her a son, his son, because he knew she was capable of taking care of his family. But how could she, when she couldn't even take care of herself?

'Cause every time we touch, I get this feeling.
And every time we kiss I swear I could fly.
Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.
Need you by my side.
