The bed shivered under them as another cry rolled through Bree. The Doctor just sat there with her on the bed with his arm around her as she cried. It was such horrid timing, yet still death claimed another soul. "Shhh, it's okay." The Doctor hushed, wrapping his other arm around Bree as she sniffled, rocking them back and forth.

"What did I do wrong?" she whimpered.

The Doctor started to stroke her damp hair as he continued to console the crying girl. "Your mom was right Bree, you did nothing wrong. You fed Draco, you cleaned his bowl; you took care of him. I'm so sorry you lost him." He mumbled into Bree's shoulder as she turned to him and continued to cry, only into the Time Lords' chest instead of her own hands. After a while, he asked "Are you going to get another?"

Bree sat back and wiped at her red eyes with her sweater sleeve. "Maybe. Later on though."

The pair just sat there for a while in sorrowful silence, before it hit Bree again and she began to cry again. "My fishy…" she choked out childishly as she cried, "He was my little Dragon…" the cries began to shudder through her again as she wept; the Doctor wildly trying again to comfort her.

"I know I know. He was a brilliant little fish Bree. But everybody dies and…" the second last word leaves a sour taste on his tongue, letting the unfinished sentence in the air. "Bree?" he whispered in her ear.

"Mmmmhhhmmm?" Came the muffled reply.

"What was rule 22 you said?"

"It might change you know." Bree mumbled, the Doctor just stared at her expectantly. She sighed. "Rule 22; never let him see the end."

The Doctor smiled weakly, knowing it was true. "Maybe it should apply to you too." A weak smile came from Bree before he continued on with a question. "Why is it rule 22?"

"Because 11+11=22." Bree stated before she started sobbing again.

They just sat there on her bed as both of their thoughts drifted to the little blue/black betta fish buried in backyard.

A/N: Dedicated to my fish (yeah fish. deal with it) who recently died. He was important to me aside from the fact that he was my first pet, I got him around the anniversary of my Grandpa's death, and the death of my other grandpa. He was my little dragon and roommate, I`ll miss him.

Reviews would be great.

Dedicated to Draco, November 10, 2012.
