Randy Disher was standing in the main part of the homicide division of the San Francisco Police Department when all of a sudden a teenage girl ran up to him. "I need help."
Randy gently grabbed the girl and set her in a chair. "What's the problem, Miss? What is your name?"
The girl looked at Randy and said "My name is Bonnie and I didn't notice anything. I just found her on the couch and when I tried to wake her, I noticed that her hands were cold as ice."
Randy hugged the girl and said "It's going to be ok. I know that this was hard for you, but we needed this information
Just then Captain Leland Stottlemeyer came in, and when he saw Randy hugging the girl he walked over to them quickly. "What do you think you are doing?"
Randy let go of the girl and sat up straight. "Captain, this is Bonnie. She just came in and told me that she came home from school and found her mother dead on the couch."
Captain Stottlemeyer looked at the girl and then looked at Randy and said "Do you think that we should call Monk in?"
Randy looked at the girl and then at Stottlemeyer "I think that we should. She said that she didn't see anything, but I want to make sure."
Stottlemeyer walked over to the girl and said. "We are going to have to go over to your house to examine the body."
The girl nodded her head silently and got up from the chair and followed Randy and Stottlemeyer out of the precinct and they took her to her house.
