~:*Chapter 6*:~
"Gah! You're kidding me!" Bridget shouted. She pointed at America, who was laughing his ass off. "You are so cheating!"
America paused the game and put down his controller. "I am not; you just suck at video games."
"Nu uh!"
"Really? You're gonna do this?"
Bridget huffed. "Don't laugh at me anymore."
"Sorry, but you're face gets all red when you're angry and it's fucking hilarious." America replied. He stood up and stretched. "I'm hungry."
Bridget gawked. "You literally just ate two whole freakin' boxes of pizza, and you're still hungry?"
"I'm a grown man; leave me alone." America said chuckling. He started walking towards the kitchen. "Do you want anything?" He hollered.
"Just a water!" Bridget answered. She sat down and sighed. This entire situation had been weird as hell. One moment she was crying on the floor, the next she was in an anime character's house. Well, at least a different version of an anime character, but still. Then he turned out to be a wack-job, but Bridget almost expected it.
That wasn't to say, however, that America didn't throw Bridget off. He was still odd, but seemed saner than Oliver, so Bridget was willing to stick around. Besides, he'd been fairly kind to her. Kinda. He was still a douchebag, but once again, better than Oliver. Bridget was thankful for the company as well.
America came back with another plate filled all sorts of things and a water bottle. He threw the water bottle at Bridget, who ducked yet somehow still got hit with it. "Oh shit! Ya alright?"
Bridget rubbed her head. "Not really."
"Eh, you'll live." America decided. He sat back down and started gobbling down everything on the plate. Bridget watched, trying to stifle her laughter. America looked at her and glared. With a mouthful of food he asked, "What're you staring at?"
Bridget started laughing out loud then. "I can't help it! You're sucking that food up almost like you're a vacuum cleaner!"
America began to wiggle his eyebrows. "You know, sucking up food isn't all I can do." Bridget's face turned bright red again and America laughed. "It doesn't take much to embarrass or rile you up, huh?"
"S-Shut up!" Bridget shrieked.
Ding dong.
Bridget's head turned towards the hall that led to the door. "I thought you said you're doorbell doesn't work."
Ding dong.
America frowned. "It shouldn't. I mean, it doesn't." Cursing underneath his breath, he got up and started walking to the door. He grabbed his bat and turned around to Bridget. "Get down under the couch until I tell you to come out. If you hear anything, stay under there still."
A chill ran through Bridget's body. Something in his voice was terrifying. Getting down on the floor she slid underneath the couch. There were a few bent nails and... dried blood?!
