"What in Hades name is this?"
And there Jason was, the mighty son of Jupiter, on both of his knees. "By the gods, Reyna, please."
Reyna took a step back. "I have no idea what you're talking about," she replied defensively, searching her mind for what he could be talking about.
Jason shook his head. "You know, just, please."
Reyna put her fingers to her temples. "Under Jupiter's name, I swear I have no idea what in Hades you are talking about."
Jason put his head in his hands. "No, no…" he muttered.
Reyna stared incredulously down at him. She was utterly confused. "Jason, what did I do?"
Jason picked his head out of his arms. "Y-you…"
Reyna nodded her head, trying to get him to say it. He stared down at his hands, looking completely broken. He took a peak at her face, and his blue eyes began to glisten with a hint of tears. "By the gods, no, this can't be happening."
Reyna kneeled down next to him, patting him awkwardly on the back. "Jason, I'm so sorry, but-"
"You have to remember!"
"No, listen! This was so important, I just can't believe-"
By now, Reyna's anger began to flare. He continuously avoided telling her what she had forgotten, and, damn the gods, she was going to mutilate him until the truth came out. "Damn it, Grace. Tell me what I have forgotten, or you will need to get armor on in around ten seconds to stop the blows from coming."
And Reyna's world came crashing down. Her face fell and she almost cried. Here she was, in love with a gay man who would never even be attracted to her gender, let alone her. She turned away from Jason, contemplating this situation.
Suddenly, she heard a loud, sharp laugh coming from behind her. She turned back around, and Jason was clutching his stomach. He was nearly crying as his laughter boomed across the field, much like thunder. She, again, stared at him incredulously.
"I-I can't believe you fell for that!" Jason managed, wiping his eyes.
Reyna growled. "I should've brought my dogs," she muttered.
"Well, Reyna, if you really want to know, you forgot our date."
Reyna cocked her head. "We aren't even dating."
Jason waggled a finger in front of her face. "And that's where you're wrong. We will be, soon," he said, smirking.
"Really, Jason, what were you trying to do?"
"I was being you, begging for me to remember and love you."
Reyna pulled out her weapon, but Jason was already scampering away. "Grace!" she yelled angrily.
"He's going to die," Reyna grumbled as she chased Jason through the Roman camp.
Um, well, this was set before Jason went to Camp Half-Blood. It's really short, but this story might turn into all of my Jeyna one-shots.
So, back to the story itself… I don't even know why I wrote this. I was bored, and I think Reyna was a lot more playful around Jason. I love this relationship, and I hope Rick decides on Jeyna.
