Author's Note

This story is placed later in the Titans lives. It's a one-shot that just popped in my head, so I wrote it down. I hope whoever reads this likes it! This is from Raven's point of view. With no further ado, here's my story. Enjoy!

A Kiss in the Snow

I swept through the snowy brush on my way through the woods. Keeping my hood up, I trotted slowly through the heavy snow.

"Brgh," I muttered, as the wind nipped at my nose and cheeks.

"Agreed, friend Raven." Starfire, a friend of mine who I lived with and was walking with, added. Changeling, Cyborg and Nightwing said nothing.

Nightwing and Starfire were walking hand-in-hand, Cyborg behind them, and then the Changeling beside me in the back of our little line.

He was very bold to ask to walk next to me, I thought. But, I'm glad he did, because I doubt I'll ever be able to ask him something like that. I then noticed he was walking a little closer to me. His hand drifted towards mine, but he pulled it back quickly, blushing. I gave a teeny glimpse of a smile before reaching to his hand and grabbing it in mine. He blushed harder, but gave my hand a small squeeze.

Moments later, the rest of the group had turned around a corner and we lost them.

I couldn't sense them, and Garfield said he couldn't pick up their scent, either.

I shivered. It was unnerving to be out in the woods without the majority of my companions. I started to be angered at Starfire for suggesting a night walk in the snowy woods.

Garfield reached over and slipped his hand back into mine. I felt a rush of warmth from his toasty hand. He smiled at me, and I felt better. It made me happy to think that he was there for me.

I smiled back, a softer smile than his goofy grin, and stepped a little closer to him. He set his other arm tentatively on my shoulder, beginning to blush again. I responded by scooting even closer to him, pressing my head against his warm chest. He slowly began to comb through my hair with his green fingers. I shivered with his warm touch, nuzzling closer against his chest. He continued sweeping his hand through my hair as I slid my arms around him.

Our calming moment seemed to last for a beautifully long time before he lifted my head to stare into my eyes before leaning in and closing his eyes.

At first, I didn't know what happened. I shivered again and almost pulled away, but caught myself and soon was reveling in the kiss.

It was a short one, but full, and just as we both pulled away, the others came back around the curve.
