"Maybe you should take your own advice." Andy's earlier words were still in Sophia Jordan's head. She had merely been trying to comfort her student for Kuol's imminent death, although he had just received his new heart. But he was right. She hadn't loved anybody since William Foster. And Miranda had quite a few things to say about that. She was now finally starting to talk to Sophia again without bitterness and resentment.
But somehow, despite protocol, she was attracted to Harold Estes, "Maybe he's the way I can take my own advice."
"Dr. Jordan," said Andy from behind her.
Sophia turned around and said, "Andy? What do you need? And how's Kuol doing?"
"He's doing great. And you just seemed a little dazed that's all," he said.
"Oh," she said, "I, um, wanted to thank you for earlier. For listening to me."
"I should be thanking you. Thanks to you, Rena agreed to try to work things out."
Sophia smiled at the thought. She knew how much Andy cared for his wife that he'd probably die for her. Rena had been around Three Rivers a couple times recently and she could tell she still deeply loved Andy too. They couldn't live without each other. It looked as if unconditional love would fix their marriage. Unconditional love that she longed for, "But you were right. I need someone to love. Someone besides Dr. Foster."
"I'm sorry. I didn't hear anything after you were right," joked Andy wittingly.
"Andy," said Sophia raising her eyebrows.
"Sorry. Did you have someone in mind?" asked Andy confusedly.
Sophia looked back into Sergeant Este's hospital room, "Yeah I think I do."
Andy smiled, "Okay then whatever you say. Good night Dr. Jordan."
"Good night Andy," she called after him, "And good night Harold," she said softly to herself.
