He saw how anxious she was with his mother. Deca was quiet and shy with most unless the situation deemed her necessary and knowing her family's personal life...that wasn't a good trait that she liked. She shuddered with coldness again and he realized to how different the weather here was to the Academy. He would have to ask if she had a jumper or something but knowing Deca all she had was a military styled clothes.

Pulling up outside his house- home- he reminded himself he saw his younger brother standing with his father obviously excited about his brother coming home. At least one of the family was. Deca looked at him for conformance that this was his house, being raised as a military brat she probably wouldn't know the difference.

"So that's Arron?" Deca asked whispering to him while leaning on him slightly in the car.

Emily was chatting to his mother so much that they would not be heard.

"Yeah" He grunted.

"Prepare yourself" He warned her.

"For what?" She raised an eyebrow.

"My families wrath" Deca started laughing so hard that she had to cover her mouth with her hand to stop snorting.

"Wait until you see mine. Yours will seem like the most normal thing in the world" She said.

"Why?" Shepard questions with a raised eyebrow.

"If you like waking up at four in the morning with no proper reason, be my guest." He could tell from the look on her face that she was semi-joking.

"Four? Really?" She nodded.

"Push-ups, drills and crunches" She smiled leaning on his shoulder once more.
