Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There're lots of people raking up these Supernatural leaves. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.
Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.
O FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING
By: Vanessa Sgroi
It was early—the sun still hugging the horizon in a pinkish-orange embrace. The Winchesters sat at the small table in the room, large cardboard cups of steamy coffee and a selection of still-warm breakfast sandwiches between them.
Looking from their repast, the brothers watched as Castiel rose from his seated position on one of the beds, moving to the motel room door, throwing it open.
"What're you doing, Cas?" queried Dean.
"It is Sunday—the Sabbath," responded the angel, "You cannot hear them, but a host of Heavenly angels are singing." Castiel paused, cocking his head. A small smile bloomed. "This is one of my favorite hymns." Castiel raised his face toward Heaven, eyes closing.
"You're not gonna break out in song, are you?" Dean mumbled around a bite of sandwich.
The angel turned toward the brothers. "No. No—that would be—unfortunate. My 'human' voice would not do this hymn justice as I cannot carry a tune. Much like Sam when he tries to sing."
"Hey!" Sam choked on a sip of his coffee as he protested.
"Is that not the truth?"
"It is but…"
"Boy, is it ever!" Dean's comment earned him a kick to the shin.
