Author's note: This is just silly and based on a throw away line from my fic A Long Talk.
"Auggie!" she yelped.
He was up and out of bed quickly and his naked forward progress hit her naked backwards progress in a delightful way.
"I got you Walker," he grinned as his hands claimed soft flesh.
He wasn't complaining as she attempted to climb him, but it did not seem even vaguely sexual.
"What's wrong?" he scrambled to hold her off the floor.
"There is a spider in your bathroom."
He tightened his arms around her and laughed against her hair.
"I was certain there was a Libyan terrorist in there."
"You don't understand, a Libyan terrorist I could take down, this is a spider. And it is not small. And before you tell me it is more afraid of me than I am of it, you're dead wrong."
He could feel her heart racing and it sent his going as well.
"How about we just go back to bed, you can shower later," he tried coaxing her with long wet kisses.
"You have to kill it. If we leave it there god knows where it will go next. We have it isolated to one location, you need to take it out," Annie detailed the mission.
"I can't see it," Auggie reasoned.
Annie lowered her feet back to the ground and dragged him after her, using his body as a human shield. She peeked around his shoulder to insure the spider hadn't moved.
"It is in the shower, northwest corner. Here, use this," she handed him one of his sneakers.
He moved the sneaker around in his hand to fashion as a weapon and was just about to head into the bathroom when he stopped and left her alone.
"Where are you going?"
"I need pants. I am not flailing around naked," he made his way back to the bed and found what he really hoped were his pajama bottoms.
Auggie went in and Annie stayed in the doorway. She knew she had to be his eyes, but she didn't want to get too close. Auggie felt along the frame of the shower stall, crouched down and aimed the shoe. The spider scurried away and Auggie's first attempt failed.
"It's moving. Headed south," Annie instructed and Auggie tried again.
"East, east!" she yelled.
"Annie this shower is like 4 X 4, I don't need compass points," he laughed as he continued to swing the shoe.
"Oooo, I think you got him." Auggie stood up and turned the shower on and sure enough Annie saw the creepy critter's remains circle down the drain.
"We good?" he smirked.
"My hero," she sighed as she wrapped her arms around him and awarded him a kiss.
"Annie, I have been on the other end of the line when you were being shot at, car bombed, thrown out of an airplane and I have never heard you scream like a girl."
"I am a girl though Auggie, I thought you noticed that about me earlier," she brought his hand up and passed it just across her still bare chest.
"I am well aware of your gender," she heard him hiss as she ran her foot up his leg.
"Then let me thank you properly for killing the spider."
