"You haven't bought your parents presents yet?!" Yaya exclaimed.

"Christmas is tomorrow. I still have plenty of time." Rima said.

Rima was buying her parent's presents at the mall and had accidentally bumped into Amu and Yaya, who were there just for fun.

"The mall's going to close in only half an hour," Amu pointed out.

"Don't worry, I'll find something for my parents before it closes." Rima assured her.

"Okay, good luck!" Yaya said and dragged Amu to another store.

Rima looked around the store she was in for something her mom or dad would like. She saw mini snowglobes, ornaments, and other things but couldn't decide what to get. Finally, she spotted a necklace with an angel on it she thought her mom would like sitting on the top shelf, but she couldn't reach it.

"Why do I have to be so short?" Rima grumbled.

"So you admit you're short?" Rima recognized that voice immediately. It was Nagihiko.

"Nagihiko? What are you doing here?" Rima asked.

"I was just doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. There's still one person I need to get a gift for." Nagihiko answered.

"Who?" Rima couldn't help asking.

"Just someone," Nagihiko didn't really answer Rima's question. "And do you need help getting that necklace?" He added, remembering that Rima couldn't reach it.

"No." Rima lied and continued jumping to reach the necklace while Nagihiko laughed at her. "It's not funny."

"You could just ask me to get it for you." Nagihiko offered.

"I don't need your help." Rima lied again.

After failing to reach the necklace again, Rima finally decided to ask Nagihiko for help. "Purple head, get me that necklace."

"No name calling. And that wasn't even a question." Nagihiko didn't obey, to Rima's annoyance.

Rima sighed. "Can you get me that necklace?"

"What's the magic word?" Nagihiko asked.

"Can you please get me that necklace?" Rima was getting more annoyed now.

"First admit that you're short." Nagihiko told her, enjoying irritating Rima.

"Then I won't get that necklace for you."

"Fineā€¦ I'm short." Rima said quietly.

"I didn't hear you."

"I'm not saying it again."

"Okay," Nagihiko decided to stop tormenting Rima and get the necklace for her. "Here you go."

"Thanks," Rima said and went to buy it.

After looking around in a few more stores, Rima found a watch for her dad. She bought the watch, and there was still over ten minutes until the mall closed. Satisfied, Rima left the mall. Right after she stepped outside, she bumped into someone.

"Ow! Watch where you're going..." Rima mumbled.

"You're the one who bumped into me." It was Nagihiko again.

"Whatever," Rima shrugged and began walking back home.

"Wait, Rima-chan!" Nagihiko caught up with her.

"What do you want?" Rima questioned.

"I just wanted to give you this." Nagihiko handed her a small box wrapped in red wrapping paper.

"W-what is this for?" Rima enquired.

"Open it," Nagihiko said.

Rima carefully unwrapped it without ripping the paper and saw it was a pair of earrings, both green, one of them a star and one a teardrop, like what appeared on her cheeks when she character-changed with Kusukusu.

"Oh, thanks." Rima blushed. "But why are you giving me a present?"

"Because we're friends, right?" Nagihiko asked.

"I guess." Rima said. She did like being friends better than being enemies, she admitted in her head.

"Bye, Rima-chan." Nagihiko gave her a small kiss on the cheek and then walked away before she could say anything.

It was just a friendly kiss, anyway. Rima thought. Nothing more than that.

A/N: This was just a small Christmas one-shot since Christmas is coming soon. I hope you liked it and please review! :D

Edit: I added a book cover... Pretend the random blonde person that's Christmas shopping is Rima. XD
