It had been two days, and the news still shocked everyone especially Kori. Her entire life was going to change by tomorrow morning when her, Wally and her father were going to be on their way to Tamaran. This was hell not only did Wally have to leave Jenny behind, but Kori had to leave Richard and that cut deep. Did she regret the time she had with him? No, but she sometimes thought she wouldn't have gotten as attached as she did, because she knew happily ever after never existed in her life. So it was only a matter of time before something came along to fuck it up. Kori's life will never be the same Korbin was going to have her trained for any situation, and since Tamaran had one of the best secret intelligence agencies in the world it would be difficult. Just the thought of most likely having to kill people to keep Wally and herself alive scared the shit out of her. Kori the famous celebrity would be no longer instead she would be a completely new Kori one who was constantly on the run, in disguise, and practically an assassin. This was her last night with her friends and the love of her life, for God only knew how long but she promised herself she'd make the most of it.

"I can't believe you're really leaving." Vic stated as they all sat around Kori and Richard's apartment.

"Well you better believe it, because I could be gone for years." Kori sighed sadly snuggling closer into Richard.

"We know, but you are a part of our family girl, I don't think it will ever set in." Karen concluded as everyone nodded in agreement.

"I'm just sorry you made my dress for nothing." Kori mumbled looking at the engagement on her finger.

"I'm not, and don't worry I'm keeping it for when you return." Karen smiled softly.

"She even tried to bring it with us in the SUV." Vic laughed lightly.

"And if I don't come back?" Kori asked causing everyone to flinch in response.

"Don't think like that." Gar spoke up for the first time. "First you almost die, then you are fucking leaving with Wally for the most dangerous shit ever; I don't see how this could possibly get any worse!" Gar fumed causing tears to build up in Rachael's eyes and her hand to lift to her stomach. Kori met her eyes secretly telling her she hadn't told him let alone anyone.

"Gar it will get better." Kori tried softly.

"Oh really? Well on top of all this shit Terra has been trying to get back with me nonstop. She even tried to fake a pregnancy, can you believe that?" Gar spoke with a dark chuckle. "As if that would make me stay with her." Kori and Richard were both looking at Rachael who looked as if she would let the tears explode from her eyes any second.

"Excuse me." Rachael sniffled before getting up about to make her way into the bathroom only to be stopped when Gar grabbed her hand gently.

"Hey you ok Rae?" He asked highly concerned, for he had never seen her this emotional before.

"No I'm not." Rachael's voice cracked before she fled into the bathroom quickly.

"What's been eating her lately?" Wally questioned arching a brow.

"I don't know but I'm going to find out." Gar answered before looking at Kori and Richard who glared at him. Richard's didn't really show but Kori made it very apparent she was pissed at him, indicating she knew something. "You know don't you?"

"Yup, and you better go fix it, NOW! And try not to fuck it up any more than you've already have." Kori growled making Gar gulp before quietly making his way to the bathroom. "God, why is my life so fucked up? Every time something seems to be well for me it always gets screwed up one way or another." Kori stressed. "I'm tired of living with all of this shit; I just want to be happy is that too much to ask?"

"No, no it's not I'm sure this isn't going to last long." Jenny tried to sooth.

"Just think positive sweet cheeks." Richard whispered to her softly.

"I'm so tired of trying to see the best in everything. I'm only human and I think all of the things I can handle is way too deep. I feel like I'm drowning and it scares the hell out of me." Kori whispered back earning a gently kiss from Richard.

"Don't be scared, it's all going to work out." He assured her. "Promise me something."

"Depending on what it is." Kori answered skeptically.

"Promise me that you'll come home to me one day, alive." Richard spoke squeezing Kori to him slightly tighter to himself.

"I- I can't." The Tamaranian whispered shocking the group except Wally who merely looked down. "I will try my best to stay alive, but I promise nothing to anyone about that. You must promise me something though."

"Depends…" Richard mimicked her making her give a sad sigh.

"Promise me you'll move on if I'm gone longer than a year or if I die. Better yet I need all of you to promise me that." Kori said looking around the room.

"Kor-" Richard started sadly.

"Dick don't! I need to know if worse comes to worse and I'm gone for five years you won't have spent them alone waiting for me. Hell if I come back when we are all 35 you better be married and have children of your own." Kori demanded quite serious.

"Go away." Rachael croaked quietly from behind the door, before she tried to hold back the sobs.

"Rachael, baby please open the door." Gar begged. When he got no answer but sniffles he spoke again, "At least tell me what's wrong. What did I do to hurt you so much?"

"You didn't do anything Gar I…I, why the fuck did this have to happen." Rachael swore her voice getting slightly louder.

" What exactly is happening? Please, let me in so I can help you." Gar worried resting his forehead onto the bathroom door.

"You won't though you'll just leave because you'll be so pissed at me." Rachael warned surprising Garfield Logan.

"Baby, I'm not going anywhere." Gar tried to desperately assure her.

"You say that now, but when I tell you Garfield you're going to run for the hills." Rachael accused, all of her emotional secrecy was beginning to upset him.

"Damn it Rae! Don't sit here and fucking blame me for something I don't even know of! Trust me Rachael Raven Roth there is no chance in hell I'm leaving until you tell me to." Gar argued.

"Will you stop yelling at me, I'm already emotional? Why? Why waist all of your affection on me?"

"If being in love with you is a waste then it makes me pretty God damn fucking happy." Gar fumed causing Rachael to open the door completely shocked.

"Yo- you love me?" Rachael asked in a low tone.

"Yea, more than anything or anyone." Gar admitted running his hand through his blonde shaggy hair until Rachael ran full force into him hugging him tightly. "Someone is a little emotional."

"I love you to." Rachael whispered back in her monotone completely ignoring her boyfriend's small remark. "But what I'm going to tell you may freak you out."

"Psh yea right, I can take anything!" He spoke kissing her softly. "Lay it on me."

"Gar, I… I uh…. Shit….I'm pregnant." Rachael revealed. Gar just stood there with his jaw wide open, and the worst part of it all was he didn't say a word with the most unreadable expression on his face. "Gar I kind of need you to some-"Rachael started before she was cut off by Gar's lips crashing down on hers.

"I'm going to be a father?" Gar asked pulling away.

"Yes." Rachael spoke before being picked up and spun around.

"This is great! I can teach him jokes, and about movies. You have a mini me in that little body of yours." Gar said clearly highly excited.

"And if it's a girl?" Rachael questioned.

"Even better, our little girl will be a bad ass tomboy!"

"You're not angry about this?" Rachael asked.

"No, I'm honestly really excited. Sure I wasn't expecting a child so soon, but this is the best news I've heard since Kori woke up. Holy shit Vic owes me 500 bucks!" Gar yelled making Rachael jump.

"What? Why?" Rachael asked confused before her boyfriend grabbed her hand and dragged her tiny form down the hallway.

"Oh Victor dear I believe you owe me money!" Gar sang making everyone laugh.

"How the hell do you figure?" Vic snorted.

"Well last year you bet me 500 dollars that you'd be a father before me, well get ready to weep and pay up!" Gar explained happily.

"You're pregnant?" two couples asked in a loud tone clearly shocked making Kori and Richard laugh.

"Yea." Rachael said quietly with a small smirk on her lips.

"Oh my god, Rachael you're going to be a mommy!" Karen beamed.

"You are going to be so cute pregnant!" Jenny declared as everyone nodded in agreement as the room took on a peaceful silence.

"So… about my five hundred dollars, pay the fuck up!" Gar demanded making everyone laugh as he danced around making up a song about being five hundred dollars richer. "Oh yeah, and I want it in cash!"
