So nobody threw anything at me for my late update last chapter... Hopefully I won't give you a reason to start. Thanks for all the lovely reviews; reviews are what make me update faster... And if I don't, that just means I'm lazy. But this chapter is going to be super extra long. :D Hope you all like it.
Anyways, this chapter goes out to Greeksoccerstar, who chose her Disney reference. Let's see what comes out in this chapter.
Disclaimer: (because I just realized I haven't said one yet.) *Pulls random cast member by her hair out of the wings.
Me: Read this, darling.
Starfire: Mm... I do not own any of the Teen Titans. I do not. If I did... *blushes* But Kaitlin, what is this making of the out?
Me: *smirks* Continue.
Starfire: If I did then Starfire and Robin would be making out every ten minutes. I do not understand! Why would Robin and I be making something outside? Is there something lacking? Is-

WARNING: HIGH AMOUNT OF FLUFF IN THIS CHAPTER. (But don't worry, it's well balanced. And loooong)
Robin grinned gleefully from backstage. "We're almost at the major conflict!"
Starfire looked at him curiously. "Conflict? Why would you say so?"
"We're at Jinx's character's breaking point. It's time to get the big guns out."
She still looked at him, her huge green eyes still confused. "But we do not have any guns in the props room."
"I mean," Robin continued patiently. "I mean that it's time for a big fight." He grinned again, and added after a moment. "And another cheesy musical number." The Boy Wonder looked very sinister as the shadows surrounded him. "Yes... Another musical number."
Prince Kid paced in his rented room. He had just received a message from Princess Terra, saying that King Speedy wasn't going to be patient anymore.
"Dad's giving you one more day until he charges. Kid, you've either got to stop the queen or pull out. And I'm having this suspicious feeling that you're falling for the princess... Anyways, Kid. That's all I have to say."
He snorted. Falling for the princess? He wasn't falling, he was...
The reality hit him faster than a speeding train, and a bullet.
He was already in love.
Prince Kid stood up, a growing smile on his face. He loved her. Both Prince Kid and Kid Flash had suddenly felt the jolt that coursed through his body when the thought crossed his mind. And the thought was exhilarating. It was like getting charged with a thousand or more volts. And he knew he had to see her and take her away from her mother... Before an all-scale war happened. He had to tell her, no matter what it took.
"I think our son has found a distraction in Gothamlandia, husband of mine," Wondergirl said gently as she joined her husband, watching over the preparations for the war against Gothamlandia's queen.
Speedy sighed. "If these were other circumstances, I'd be happy for him, lady dearest, I really would," he said. "But this is a war, and-"
"And we don't really know if the princess is involved," the queen said. "But I have a good feeling about this." She smiled encouragingly at King Speedy. "You know, nothing is more powerful and right than a mother's intuition."
He smiled at her reluctantly. "Especially your intuition."
Queen Wondergirl smiled simply, and kissed him on the cheek.
Jinx reclined in one of the chairs, reading the script a bit. She smiled wryly, at least this time, Beastboy had remembered to remind her about the musical number. At least she only had one line in it. The song practically belonged to Kid Flash, anyway.
Oh, Kid Flash.
Her stomach felt all tingly; it had been like that the whole day, practically. He was making her feel more feelings than she had ever thought imaginable... And though she knew that it was just a play, she couldn't help but allow her senses take over whenever he touched her. Jinx shivered, remembering his lips against hers. She wondered when he would do it again.
She jumped; she never got over Kid Flash's uncanny ability to sneak up on her when she was deep in thought - especially when she was thinking about him. "Yeah," She resumed her perfect, straight backed posture, a slight smile on her face. "According to Robin's outline, the play's almost over."
"Mm-hmm," Kid Flash said thoughtfully. She could tell he wasn't really listening to her, and it made her a bit curious... Albeit, annoyed. "Listen, after the play..."
"Mm?" she looked at him, her mouth pursed.
He resisted the urge to kiss her right then and there; and he remembered that he had only kissed her on stage. Never in real life. He sighed. He'd have to change that.
"What is it, Wally?"
Kid Flash knew she only used his real name when she was getting annoyed, so he tried getting to the point. "After the play, do you... I don't know... Wanna hang out, or anything?"
She let out a dry laugh, and his stomach plummeted. Was she shooting him down, already? "Kid Flash. We live together. I don't think I have much choice in the matter."
"Oh." He laughed a bit nervously. It was so unlike him. "I meant-"
"Jinx!" Starfire flew out of nowhere. "Speedy and Wondergirl are nearly done with their scene! You must get ready!"
"Sure, Star," Jinx said cooly, and she looked back and Kid Flash. "See you on stage," she said, and walked away, wondering if it was just her imagination, or was Kid Flash almost about to ask her out?
"I trust you and Prince Kent had an eventful evening?" Queen Raven said, when Jinx entered the dining hall. Surprisingly, it was just the two of them.
"Well, if you call a night where he gloated about himself unnecessarily, then yes mother, it was very eventful. Very," Jinx said, sitting down at her place on the table.
Queen Raven fixated a steely glance at her daughter. "Give him a chance."
"Just what is so great about him?" Jinx exploded, making all the servants in the room jump. Her mother stayed still.
"He, among all the three, is more suitable than all three of them combined."
"Maybe as a King, but not as my future husband," she said firmly, her hand gripping the fork tightly. "I am going to be a queen, mother. I would at least like you to trust me-"
"And who is suitable then, in your opinion? Hm? Prince Kent?" Before Jinx could answer, Raven held up a hand. "Or are you thinking about that Prince of Athenia, Prince Kid?"
"I'd think that that decision would be best made in the future," Jinx said coldly.
Queen Raven was silent, and continued on a new subject as if nothing had happened. "The three will be late in coming in for breakfast, since you and I have something to discuss."
Jinx laughed dryly. "Haven't we already discussed something?"
"I have heard from my sources that Athenia is going to attack us."
Jinx's heart dropped down to her stomach. "What?" Her mother had certainly caught her off guard this time. A thousand thoughts rushed through her mind. I had thought they were going to attack, I just didn't think it would be this soon. He mentioned it, or something... Or has he been lying to me, too? The princess semeed close to tears.
"We are going to expect an attack from Athenia in the next 48 hours. I have already informed the princes, and they have agreed in helping us. I don't think I need to ask you if you would like to join the battle. I fully expect it of you. I will be taking part in it, as well."
"You?" Jinx replied incredulously.
"They intend to take away my kingdom. I won't let that happen," Raven said, a scary look in her eye. "And remember, daughter. I do not tolerate traitors. Even if the traitor happens to be my daughter."
The gentlemen found their way to the dining hall soon after Queen Raven's scathing words. After breakfast, Jinx found herself escorted to her room by Prince Allen (despite her mother's evil eye). "Did you two have a little fight?" he asked her, once the two were far away.
"Not little enough," Jinx said shortly, and he was silent.
"It's about Athenia, isn't it?"
She let out a loud sigh. "It couldn't be anything else. I don't know what to do, Prince Allen," she said softly, showing for the first time how vulnerable she really was.
He patted her shoulder reassuringly, and they were at her room. "I think I know the right person you need to talk to," he said, winking at her.
Her spirits lifted. "He's in my room, isn't he?" she couldn't leave the happiness out of her voice, and he chuckled.
"I'll leave the two of you alone," he said with a wink, and opened her door.
Jinx ran inside, and saw him seated near her window. The door closed quietly behind her, and she took her time in getting to him. He looked up at her with a careless smile, and her heart fled into her throat, although she didn't dare show it. "You really know how to make a guy wait," he said, smiling, and before she knew it, he had disappeared from the window, and was right in front of her. He took both of his hands and cupped her face, and kissed her lightly on the lips; way too short for her liking. "I've been waiting to do that all day," he said, sending shivers down her spine.
"Was that Kid Flash or Prince Kid speaking?" Terra said with a teasing grin from backstage.
"I think it was more Kid Flash," Wondergirl said, floating around in circles excitedly. "Oh, this is so romantic."
"The cutest thing," Kole piped up.
"Shut up, all of you, I can't hear anything," Raven said in a low voice.
"Shut up," she said easily, and sat down on the bed. He sat down next to her, close, but not too close. Half of her appreciated it, but the other half just wanted to hug him close and tell him all of her problems. Jinx tried forcing an light tone in her voice. "So... Uhm... Mother says that Athenia's going to attack us." She couldn't look him in the eye.
Kid didn't say anything, so she continued talking. "I mean, I can't say that I didn't know it was coming, because we talked about it, but..." she frowned. "I was wondering what... What's going to happen." She looked up at him, and he had a small smile on his face. "Why are you smiling at me like that?" she asked, rolling her eyes.
"I have something really important to ask you," he said, eyes crinkling.
The butterflies started acting up again. "Are you proposing?"
He laughed, and held her hand. "Not yet, not yet." He noticed her nervous half-smile, and he shook his head, smiling. "Here it is. Look, dad wants me back in Athenia before we charge, and..."
Jinx held her breath, hardly daring to believe. Was he going to ask her to... To...
"I really want you to be with me when I return."
There. I said it. Now, we wait and see. He observed her reaction, which was one of barely masked shock, a slight blush, and a hint of a smile. She could be so hard to read sometimes. "Kid..." she said, her voice breathy.
"I'm not going to force you, or anything," he said quickly, and turned to face her. "We both have our own kingdoms, and... And I know I haven't promised you anything, but-"
Jinx leaned in and gave him a light kiss on the lips. He was shocked; it was the first time she had initiated a kiss between them. Before he could lean into the kiss, she had backed away from him.
"When did this become a romantic kissy-fest?" Beastboy complained. "This is turning into a chick flick!"
"I'm starting to doubt that this is appropriate for children," Raven said, although the look in her eyes betrayed her.
Robin wrapped an arm around Beastboy. "Don't worry, BB," Robin said with a smile. "We're almost at the action comedy part of the play."
"Finally," Aqualad said.
"Hard to watch Kid Flash get all the action?" Cyborg teased.
"I was enjoying that," Kid said, only half-joking.
Her face remained stoic, and he wondered why she had kissed him. "Kid..." she said slowly. Her face looked like it was in the middle of making a hard decision; and in all fairness, it was.
Should I go with him? She argued with herself. If I do, I won't have a home with Gothamlandia anymore. I'd be... I'd be a traitor. That is, unless Athenia wins. If Athenia wins, my mother will be arrested and... The thought creeped up on her Kid Flash when he was trying to sneak up on her. And I'll be the new queen of Gothamlandia. It both excited her and terrified her, and she didn't know what to think. And I'll be with Kid. But still, she's my mother. She frowned. The mother who lied to me.
Jinx stood up, and Kid remained on the bed, watching her steadily and waiting for her response. He didn't dare tell her out loud that the suspense was killing him. Either way, he said to himself, either way he would still accept her decision. Even if it would take a hell of a long time getting over her.
"My mother lied to me," she said for opening words, and he looked at her. This is a good start. "And... And you've been honest with me from the beginning."
Prince Kid kept his mouth shut for once, and watched her pace in front of him. "Kid..." she turned to him suddenly, and he saw the desperation in her eyes; the desperation to make a right choice. She bit her lip. "Can you..." she took a deep breath. "Can you promise to take care of me?"
His eyes softened, and he knew she was agreeing to go with him. He dashed forward and hugged her tightly, nodding. "Yeah. Yeah, okay. I promise." He grinned widely. "I'm busting you outta here."
She chose me.
"She's going to run."
Raven didn't react to Sir Red's news. In fact, she offered no reaction. "Fine. Let her run."
"I'm sorry?" he sounded incredulous. "You just told her you don't tolerate traitors, and now she's just waltzing out the door-"
"Who is Athenia's next potential ruler?" Raven asked him pointedly.
"He's important to her, right? And vice versa."
"I guess so."
"When someone is important, what do you do for them?"
Sir Red took a while in answering. "Everything. Anything."
Queen Raven merely smiled, and Sir Red could see her point quite plainly.
Prince Kid showed Jinx the communicator he used to contact his family through his stay in Gothamlandia. Although she was a bit annoyed that he hadn't told her he was keeping in touch with them, she didn't mind.
He used it to make one last call.
"Hey, bro!" Princess Terra's big blue eyes peered out from the Communicator. Terra's eyes caught Jinx next to her brother. The princess of Athenia smiled evilly. "So that's her."
"Shut up, Terra," Kid said, but with a smile on his face. "Look, tell mom and dad that she's coming with me. Oh, and I have to make one more stop. I'd like to stop by some of my old friends, get them to join me too."
"Sure, sure, whatever," Terra said breezily. "Hi, Princess Jinx!" she said cheerfully.
"Hello," Jinx said, smiling tentatively.
"Bye, Terra," Kid said, rolling his eyes. He clicked off the communicator. Prince Kid then got up and held out his arms.. "Come on, I'm going to be carrying you again," he said. "But let's make a stop by the forest, first."
"Come on guys, get dressed already!" Wondergirl pushed around the other members. "You guys have, like 5 minutes to get ready!"
"It's not our fault that you girls were too busy fangirling over Kid Flash and Jinx that you forgot to warn us about the next act!" Beastboy whined.
"Stop complaining, this just shows that you weren't paying attention as well!" Raven said.
"Remember guys, ACT WEAK!" Robin yelled. "You need to be weak! Then you can go all out!"
"Got it," Aqualad said, before dashing away.
Kid Flash was still wincing in pain, after she socked him in the shoulder after he made a remark about her and his sister probably fitting into the same clothes, since they both lacked a chest. "I said I was kidding," he said for the millionth time.
Jinx rolled her eyes as the two of them raced though the forest. "And I said it was no problem."
"Hard to believe that," Kid said, teasingly.
The two had gotten out of the castle pretty easily; Jinx was quiet and Kid was obviously light on his feet. But what bugged the two of them was that no one had tried to stop them. No alarms had gone off. Kid had grimly said that that probably meant that they were going to run into trouble once the war got started.
"We're going to stop off at this place, first," Kid said, noticing the sign he had found in the first act; the hand-drawn burger and arrow.
"You cannot stop thinking about food, can you?"
"A guy's gotta eat," Kid said, grinning. "But that's not the reason why we stopped over. I have a feeling these guys'll be helpful during the war."
He approached the counter, and he loosened his grip on her so Jinx could get down from his arms. "Hello? Aquadwarf?"
"I would appreciate it if you didn't make plays on my name like that."
Jinx looked curiously at the counter, but she couldn't see anyone. Prince Kid made a motion to lean over the counter, and she did, finally seeing the dwarf clothed in blue. "Hello, Kid. Nice to see you again," Aqualad said. "Who's this?"
"Princess of Gothamlandia, Princess Jinx," Kid said grandly, and Jinx rolled her eyes.
"Don't add excessive grandeur to my name, either, Kid," she said.
"So, what will you be having?" Aqualad asked Kid.
"Actually, I wasn't going to buy anything, but I have a proposition for you and your other dwarf friends."
Aqualad rose an eyebrow. "Hmmm... And what sort of proposition would that be?"
"I was thinking we could talk inside?" Kid said, and Aqualad nodded.
Prince Kid found the little door again, and being a gentleman, opened the door for Jinx. She entered, and saw eight dwarves gathered around her curiously. "She wasn't here when you stopped by before, Kid," a green one said.
"Yeah, that's because I only brought her now," Kid said. "Jinx, these are the other dwarves. Beastboy, Bushido, Hotspot, Jericho, Kole, Gnarrk, Cyborg, and Aqualad, who was manning the counter. Oh, and this lovely lady is Princess Jinx of Gothamlandia."
"Uh... Nice to meet you," Jinx said, waving.
"It's nice to meet you too, your highness." Kole said, smiling.
"So what's this proposition you have for us?" Aqualad said, getting down to business.
"There's going to be an attack on Gothamlandia, and Athenia's going to lead it. Would you like to join in the fighting?"
Jinx wasn't surprised at Kid's request. Despite their size, they looked like fighters. Especially Hotspot and Cyborg, in her opinion.
Aqualad, however, looked very surprised. "Why are you asking us? We haven't fought... Ever!"
"I have faith in you guys," Kid said, smiling. "And if you help, I'm sure I could convince mom and dad to let you guys stay in Athenia to continue serving your burgers. Much better business."
"Well, it's a tempting offer..."
"Wait, hold up! Mom and dad?" Cyborg asked, eyes wide. "You're the prince!"
Jinx looked sideways at Kid, who looked a bit bashful. "Well, yeah. I kinda forgot to tell you guys that, did I?"
"It's fine," Hotspot said, waving a hand. "Look guys, now that we know who he is, I think we just got a formal request from the prince. So I think we have no choice but to-"
"I'm giving you a choice!" Kid said quickly, and Jinx grinned; he had used the same tactic on her. "I mean, if you don't want to..."
"I'm not really much of a violent person," Kole said softly. Jericho, who was next to her and Gnarrk, nodded.
Kid smiled. "Well... I think I can teach you that."
"I'd like to fight," Aqualad said bravely. Beastboy and Bushido nodded.
"For honor!" Bushido yelled.
"And for business!" Cyborg whooped. The other dwarves quickly agreed, although Kole did so a little reluctantly.
"I don't exactly know how to fight," she said to Jinx timidly, who smiled.
"I'm sure you've got a pretty good fighting spirit," Jinx said. "And besides! I think Kid's going to teach you something before we move on."
"Alright, come on guys. Let's do a little bit of training before we leave," Kid said. "Outside guys, come on! Oh, and you too, princess. I have no doubt in your skills, but it wouldn't hurt."
She smiled, and followed him outside.
The opening bars of a song, which sounded like the beating of a military drum, started playing, and Prince Kid took his place in front of the eight dwarves and Jinx. He smiled confidently as he started his song number. "Let's get down to business... To defeat... The Goths..." He grinned widely as the dwarves looked at him eagerly.
Jinx rolled her eyes, but she still relished the sound of his voice. Kid has a marvelous, sexy singing voice.
He paced in front of them. "Did they send me people, when I asked for dwarves?" He pointed at Bushido, and at himself. Kid challenged Bushido to a hand to hand battle, which Kid won easily. "You're the saddest bunch I've ever met, but you can bet before we're through..." He looked up at them confidently. "Misters, I'll make a man out of you."
Kid turned to Cyborg now, who readied his cannon. "Tranquil as a forest, but on fire within..." Kid dashed over to another tree and drew a target sign on the trunk, pointing at the bulls-eye. "Once you find your center, you are sure to win..." Cyborg fired, and accidentally hit the leaves and branches, sending a whole bunch of birds flying into the air; well, the once who weren't harmed by the blast, anyway. Kid dragged a hand down his face. "You're a spineless, pale, pathetic lot, and you haven't got a clue. Somehow, I'll make a man, out of you..."
Aqualad panted as he struggled to put out another fire that Hotspot caused. "I'm never gonna catch my breath!"
"Say good-bye to those who knew me," Beastboy collapsed, exhausted, after he completed the rounds around the forest that Kid had ordered him to do as a cheetah.
"Boy, was I fool in school for cutting gym..." Hotspot grunted as he struggled to fire another fireball during target practice.
"This guy's got 'em scared to death," Jinx commented, watching as the dwarves tried to please Kid endlessly; sometimes, hurting themselves in the process.
"I hope he doesn't see right through me!" Kole squeaked out before she turned into a straight weapon that Gnarrk used to attack a training dummy.
"Now I really wish that I knew how to swim!" Cyborg grunted out as he and Kid went hand to hand on top of a suspended bridge on top of a river.
"Be a man," They all sung in the background as Kid watched them train one by one. "We must be swift as a coursing river." he smiled as he saw Beastboy and Cyborg tackle each other, Beastboy in Gorilla form. "With all the force of a great typhoon." He watched Gnarrk and Bushido fight using swords, Kole being one of the swords. "With all the strength of a raging fire." Hotspot grinned as he successfully set each target on fire without damaging anything else (much to Aqualad's relief). "Mysterious as the dark side of the moon!" Everyone paused what they were doing to pose dramatically and mysteriously, with Kid in the front, obviously. They continued repeating the chorus as they trained. Hey, it was a pretty motivational song.
"This is so sexist," Jinx said dryly, as she and Jericho watched them. Jericho was already a great fighter, and Jinx liked talking to him. Although he couldn't say anything back, that is. Jericho nodded, a slight smile on his face, and he pulled out his guitar while he strummed a few chords.
Me: I have to end it here. The way it's going, I'll end up finishing the story. I even updated it like, three days after my last chapter. I update fast once I'm onto something.
BB: Isn't this your longest chapter, so far?
Me: Yeah. I couldn't help it. I loved this part of the story, and I put my all into it!
Terra: We didn't mind it at all, Kait. It was GREAT!
Wondergirl: Yeah, and it was... It was BEAUTIFUL!
Kid Flash: I think you two are just trying to suck up to her so you'll get more lines in the next chapter.
Terra and Wondergirl: We are not, Wally!
Aqualad: Anyway, anyway.
Hotspot: I think the Disney thing was very obvious in this one. I was forced to sing it.
Terra: Oh, chill, Hotspot. It was just one line. *laughs*
Hotspot: Ha-ha, Terra. 'Chill'. How original.
Jinx: Mulan for Greeksoccerstar, everybody.
Me: I couldn't help but add another musical number! I still remember the last one.
Wondergirl: Who would forget that awesome duet between the resident lovebirds over here? A whole new world~!
Speedy: Nice voice, Wondergirl. How about we do a duet one of these days? Mm?
Me: Stop flirting with her, Speedy. You'll get your turn.
Kole: We're reminding everybody that the first person to comment a Disney Reference will get to choose which one he/she wants!
Cyborg: And you'll get a special mention, too.
BB: Which ones are done again?
Starfire: I believe that Tangled, Brave, Aladdin, Monsters Inc., and Hercules are done. Oh, and Mulan.
Argent: Can someone suggest Snow White, please?
Bumblebee: That's so cliched! Can we have The Princess and the Frog?
Pantha: Like I said before, Tarzan!
Cyborg: Treasure Planet! Come onnnn.
Me: Yeah, better get your favorite Disney references in, since the story's ending soon.
Me: It is. I mean, we're already at the climax. It's going to end pretty soon. Kid Flash, Jinx, you two better get your feelings together.
Thanks for clicking this, guys! R&R? :3
