Years past and things have changed. They are no longer young adults trying to find their way in the world - eating ramen and drinking coffee to survive - but now they are working in full time jobs and some have even started families of their own. She is 26 and he is 29. They are on the cusp of their thirties; and they are no longer scared of what will happen in the future.

She remembers a time when she used to worry if she would ever be securely safe and sound in his arms. A time when she did not see him as often as she once used to and no matter how many skype, texts and phone calls they had; the void never seemed to close. Those were the hardest years. Her last two years at Barden where she was left alone to face the world without him. She had her friends… their friends … but Lilly knew that no one could understand her as well as he did. He who knew to take her out for ice cream the moment after a horror movie ended. He who knew the exact toppings she wanted on her pizza and exactly when she wanted to eat it - the pie already piping hot and waiting to be eaten even as the words, "I'm hungry" slipped from her mouth. He who knew when she needed to talk and when she needed silence. He who had climbed up to her window just to serenade her with a song to tell her how sorry he was. He who managed to impress her parents within a few hours. He who bought her piggy banks when he knew she was angry (either at him or at someone else). He who understood every meaning behind her kisses because sometimes she just did not have the words to express how she felt. He who would let her have every adventure she wanted to go on and joining in with her because who would not want to go searching for Ewokes in the forest. He who listened to her even when she was not speaking. Donald Dravid had become her person. And she had gotten used to having him around.

But Lilly survived her last years of College, relying on the moments of conversation she could have with him and those special nights when he would visit Barden and the support of her… their friends. Their graduation was uneventful- other than the usual antics of their group, which included Stacie coming out of a closet with her boyfriend Theo looking disheveled, Fat Amy chasing Bumper with her shoe, Beca and Jesse fighting over some small minute detail and then Donald and her disappearing sometime during the day only to reappear the next afternoon with healthy glows surround them. There were times that Lilly missed her days in College with the Bellas and the Treblemakers but despite their venture into the work force, their group of friends still managed to create enough trouble to last a life time.

Today, she was a researcher at UCSF, a job that she had come to love even if she would have wished to go into music. She still wrote music on the side, which she still stuck on the wall in the music room in her(their) townhouse. He was at an accounting firm in San Francisco, a job that he flourished in and something he enjoyed especially since his promotion. He still beat boxed and sang all the time at his townhouse, his voice bouncing off the walls as he went about his business. The first six months after they moved in together, when Lilly chose to complete her graduate studies at UCSF, was a struggle even for them. They were not used to living in such close proximities to each other and even though they understood each other and knew each other's habits, this was the first time they did not have separate areas to hide when things got extremely heated. It did not help that they were trying to sort out their relationship - moving from best friends who slept with each other and talked all the time to boyfriend and girlfriend again. Donald still found it incredibly sexy when she twirled his earring between her fingers even though he had taken his out years ago. A year after they moved in together and fell into a comfortable routine, Donald proposed to her. There were no rose petals or candles or a romantic dinner where he got down on one knee. Instead there was horror movies, ice cream, cold pizza and killer bunny slippers with a simple diamond ring inside. It was perfect for them. They were married a year after that on the anniversary of that fateful college acapella competition - a night that they considered to be the starting point of their relationship. Unlike Stacie's wedding, their wedding was simple, casual and above all filled with performances from the two college acapella group who had a kick out of performing and competing against each other again. Lilly had all the Bella's as her bridesmaids and Donald's sister Tessa as her maid of honour. Donald had all of Treblemaker's as his groomsmen and Lilly's brother Xavier as his best man. Their choice to honour each other's family in front of everyone was to signify the combining of the families.

Their wedding was full of comments how the perfect couple had finally tied the knot as well as many threats from Fat Amy to Donald making him fear for his life even though he knew he would never hurt Lilly in a permanent way. Because all her pain he felt a hundred times over. And throughout all these comments, Donald and Lily knew that they might have looked like the perfect couple but they knew they were probably more flawed than the rest. They had seen Beca and Jesse go through hell in back with Beca running away from any sort of commitment and Jesse chasing after her until he finally had no more energy left. Only to have Beca finally realize that Jesse was it for her. The only person who could love her for her flaws rather than because of them - it had taken a year of drunken hook ups and long hours of crying before Beca ran back into Jesse's arms. Now the two were trying for a baby even though Beca refuses to get married - her commitment to Jesse stronger than ever.

They had seen Stacy and Theo still manage to break up even though they were married especially after her miscarriage. Lily hated knowing that Stacy was hurting but the taller girl refused to let anyone help her even her husband who used to sit outside their room listening to her cry while he remained helpless. It had taken two years of therapy before their relationship regained stability and now with a little girl whom they had named Lily-Rose and another child on the way, the two couldn't be happier.

They had seen Benji and Jessica remain strong and stable through everyone's ups and down - even there's - and that night of their wedding, they both knew with a simply glance that no … they were not the perfect couple. Donald remembered as he held his new wife in his arms while they danced, the look of absolute adoration Benji gave his wife and their three month old baby girl (Melody Grace) and he knew that someday he would want to start a family with Lily. Currently, Benji and Jessica are expecting their third baby whom they hope will be another girl.

The rest of their group were also beginning to start their own separate lives together. Unicycle met a girl while studying at Boston University and they were still dating now. Jacob was thriving in his new job at a top law firm - he confessed he had no time for dating at the moment. Fat Amy had gone back to Tasmania to take over some unspeakable job but she always visited and always with different man on her arm. Cynthia Rose and Denise had an amicable split and Cynthia was working at a studio as a song writer while Denise had settled down with a girl she had met at the school she worked at. Everyone had their own separate lives but every few months, one of them would host a party for them all to meet up at.

But as much as all their lives were moving forward, Lily and Donald never forgot their time at Barden University. The place would always be special to them even when they were old and grey.

"Lily, are you heading out now?"

The tiny brunette spun around on her heel, her hair hitting her face as she tried to answer, her voice muffled, "Donald is picking me up for our anniversary." She finally got the hair out of her face as she blinked her large eyes at her coworker with a smile.

Alison nodded with a warm smile and said with a bit of an envious tone, "Most women would be jealous of you Lily. That man of yours treats you like every women wishes." As she turned back to her work, she waved by saying, "Have a good weekend Lily."

Lily shrugged at her comment before waving goodbye and bouncing out of the room, her multicolored scarf flying in the wind as she dashed out of the University building and down the stairs. Standing by the stairs, looking very handsome in his suit, was her husband - she would never get used to calling him that - and she quickly ran towards him. Throwing herself off the last step, she clutched onto his body as she felt his hands come to steady her and greeted her in a stifled voice, "Hey babes, you have a good day?"

She buried her head into the crook of her neck as she felt his grip tighten around her waist. A low sigh slipped from her lips as her body and mind realized that she was home. Donald had a distinct smell that if she could, she would bottle up and keep around for the days that he was forced to be away. Pressing a light kiss to his neck, she slowly untangled herself from him and smiled up at him answering his question, "My day was okay though Alison was saying something about people being jealous of me. I might have tuned out because I kept staring at the hair of hers. I'm not sure but I think something might be living in it. I want to check next time she falls asleep at her desk."

Chuckling at her response, Donald wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him as he guided her down the street where he had parked his car. Even after all these years of being with her, Lily never stopped surprising him with her endless curiosity and it made him love her even more. He dropped a brief kiss to her head as he opened the door to his car for her and said with a smirk, "You're adorable you know."

Her arms reached out to tug him back towards her as she planted a deep and long kiss on him, her body reacting in a way that Donald knew exactly what she wanted. He braced his hands against the car as he responded eagerly, his mouth slanting over hers in a possessive manner as his teeth came to scrap her bottom lip. Lily moaned at the sensation, her hands entangling themselves in his hair almost as if she was trying to hold him in place. Knowing that if they kept going, they would be creating a rather indecent scene, Donald slowly pulled away, pressing light kisses to her lips in a slow and lazy manner. He leaned his forehead against hers and whispered, "You're going to kill me Tiger Lily."

Leaning in, she pecked him softly on the mouth and mumbled against them, "It would be a great way to die Ducky." Lily loosened her grip on him as she slid into the car and watched as he shut the door before walking around to the driver's seat. Soon they were on the road, his one hand clutching the steering wheel while the other was placed lightly on top of her thigh as Lily beat boxed to Domino by Jessie J. He smiled affectionately at her as she nudged his shoulder and as he turned the corner to their townhouse, he took over the beat boxing as she began to sing.

Rock my world until the sunlight

Make this dream the best I've ever known

Dirty dancing in the moonlight

Take me down I'm like a domino

Every second is a highlight

When we touch don't ever let me go

Dirty dancing in the moonlight

Take me down like I'm a domino.

As he parked the car on the side of the road, he turned to Lily, his eyes warm as he reached behind to grab a box. Donald handed it to her and watched as she began to open it up with excitement. He had learned very soon into a relationship with her that she loved presents. Inside was a simply sheet of music surrounded by tissue paper and Lily lifted her eyes quizzically. Before she could even ask, Donald answered the question forming on her tongue, "It's your song … you muttered it in your sleep so I knew it was important to you…" He paused as he pressed a kiss to her hand, "I got a colleague to look at it and he liked it. He wants to work with you to make it into a song that can be recorded."

Lily's eyes widened as she took in all he was saying and before she could utter anything, her body moved on it's own accord as she smashed her lips onto his in a searing kiss. She poured all her love, her gratitude and the luck she felt for having fallen in love with him. As she pulled away, the box lay forgotten on the floor of the car, she locked eyes with him and softly whispered, "I love you Ducky."

"I love you too Tiger Lily," he replied before capturing her lips with his in another tender kiss, he mumbled against her lips, "Happy Anniversary,"

The End.

A/N: What a long journey this has been. I do apologize for the long wait but I finally finished this series of one-shots. I shall not be doing anymore Lily and Donald stories or anything to do with Pitch Perfect. I have exhausted my inspiration for them. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart from reviewing, favouring and following this story. I will always love Lily and Donald and I was happy to be able to share my interpretation of their relationship as well as them as characters with you. I hope that you enjoy this ending and I know that a reviewer asked for a timeline of sorts to be created for the one-shots. I will post it as a separate chapter so that you know in what order the stories should go. Thank you again to ICanSeeYourFace for creating the banner and to everyone who reviewed, it really meant a lot to me to be able to read your thoughts and comments on my story. You guys are wonderful and I thank you for sticking with me on this great journey through Lily and Donald's lives.

Thank you again! 3
