The two star-crossed lovers were on opposing sides of the war; one was the Good's Thinker, the Brain, while the other was the leader of the Bad, the Dark. They shouldn't have fallen for each other, yet they couldn't help themselves.
The Dark's General tried to tell himself that he was just interested in her, in how someone of such lowly decent could be intelligent and captivating.
The Light's Thinker tried to reason her way out of her feelings, going so far as to write a Pros and Cons list, but nothing seemed to rid her of the unfathomable attraction she felt.
They would meet under the cover of darkness, exchanging stories, debating magical theory, and letting their passions rule them.
In the end, the Light won, the Dark was vanquished, and it should have been her Happy Ever After. Except it wasn't. She was missing one very important character:
