It was a bitter winter day; ominous clouds promising snow lingered above the small, Ukrainian town as the residents kept in their cramped, fire-heated houses. The sun was blocked out by the thick storm clouds, bringing the town to a dimly lit glow. The streets were barren, and at first glance one might think the town had been abandoned long ago. The shops were broken down, windows shattered and the streets were a flimsy cobble stone that fell apart with each step. Only one unfortunate being was stuck outside in this miserable town, storming through as the clouds gave way and snow fell upon him mercilessly.

The boy's hands gripped tightly around a few wilted flowers, hardly a bouquet, as wind nipped at his pale grey flesh and blew his pitch black hair into his face, temporarily blocking his vision. Unlike humans, the male's eyes were a bright yellow, piercing through the dusky light, allowing the troll to see much clearer than any other would.

He came to a halt in front of a roomy house. Despite being only slightly larger than the average home, it looked like a manor compared to the rest of the ghost town. The walls were made up of uneven bricks with ivy running up to the roof and entwining around the cracked windows. A blush fell upon the young trolls face as he hopped up the broken, stone steps and stared up at the door. He hesitated slightly before knocking and having almost an immediate answer.

The door swung open, revealing a Ukrainian, her short ashen hair pushed back by a headband. Her blue eyes sparkled with delight at the sight of the other, her young face breaking out into a smile.

"LISTEN. I, UH, I BROUGHT YOU THESE FLOWERS. I MEAN, I GUESS IT'S SOME KIND OF HHUMAN TRADITION. I DON'T REALLY FUCKING KNOW. UM. I THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW I HAVE RED FEELINGS FOR YOU." He blurted out, thrusting the flowers into her hands, leaving her speechless.

She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear before pulling him into a night hug, nearly suffocating him with her breasts.
