Cookies (Katinss's POV)

I woke up from the sweet delicious smell knowing right away that my husband, Peeta was down in the kitchen baking. I slowly sat up in bed and stretched out my arms and back as a loud yawn escaped my lips.

I dared myself to look across the room to see that my long chestnut-brown hair, all tangled up in knots and my grey eyes were smaller than usual from last nights sleep.

As I got up from bed slowly I stepped in the hallway, the powerful tempting smell of fresh chocolate chip cookies welcoming me with a sweet breeze; causing my stomach to rumble and growl wildly.

The fresh chocolate chip cookies smelled as sweet as Peeta's bakery. I swiftly ran to the bathroom and brushed my hair quicker then the speed of a Rabbit.

The magnificent smell was getting stronger and stronger as I raced down the stairs to our kitchen. I found Peeta in a dark navy blue t-shirt that exposed his muscular biceps and faded jeans.

"Morning beautiful" Peeta greeted by opening his strong muscular arms out for me.

"Morning!" I replied welcoming his hug and inhaling deeply, if I could wait any longer for these cookies I'm going to start drooling like a baby.

"Uh, Peeta? Can I eat now?" I asked a little impatiently as I eyed the thick round chocolate chip cookies stacked perfectly. row by row on the tray that lay on top of the oven. Peeta let me go and watched me dive for the tray of cookies like a jaguar with its prey.

I greedily took three of the largest cookies as Peeta gave me a "What-the-heck-is-wrong-with-you?" look, his dark blue eyes got as wide as plates and his mouth dropped open in the shape of an oval.

I placed the cookie under my nose and sniffed it ferociously, I could smell the strong melted chocolate, in fact I could almost TASTE it.

In the blink of an eye, the three cookies that sat in my hands were now gone and in my stomach. I looked back up at Peeta to see him with a crooked smirk.

I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and licked my lips getting the last taste of the delicious melted chocolate.

"Those were good." I finally said after a long awkward of silence of my husband staring at me like I had three heads.

"I assumed that you were hungry" Peeta said with a short laugh.

I nodded in response and patted my happily fed tummy, and shot him a toothy smile. "That's what happens when you're married to a baker!"
