An Unfair Advantage

"Ah, c'mon Sammy."

Their current 'home' was an attic loft with lots of room for two energetic boys to run around—under John's watchful eye.

"Please, don't cry."

They'd been playing tag, a game John encouraged for its obvious skill and lesson value.

"I'm sorry I scared you."

John sighed. It looked like Dean was about to learn a very valuable lesson about cornered prey.

"C'mon out. It's okay."

Sammy blinked scared, teary eyes at Dean.

"I won't tag you, Sammy."

I promise."

Sammy eked out of the corner where Dean had 'trapped' him and Dean let him 'escape'.
