INT. THE PILLARS OF NOSGOTH - NIGHT - 2030 YEARS IN THE PAST
Kain stands near the newly corrupted Pillar of Balance. While Raziel looks on, Kain begins to sing.
I've always had the hope that on the day I begin my reign
Vorador will shake my hand and say, "You've done an awesome job, Kain!"
Now it's our time to go out and set our destinies free
Horrified, Raziel slowly backs away.
(Why are you singing?)
Kain goes up to Raziel and firmly clasps his shoulder. Raziel tries to escape, but Kain holds him in place and gazes into the distance, his eyes shining with bold determination.
And we can do it together, you and me – but mostly me!
You and me – but mostly me – are gonna change history forever
'Cause I can do most anything!
(Sarcastic) And I can stand next to you and watch?
Every hero needs a sidekick; every captain needs a mate!
Raziel struggles to escape.
Every dinner needs a side dish –
Curse the Wheel of Fate!
Kain and Raziel turn to face one another.
And now we're seeing eye to eye, it's so great we can agree
That Nosgoth has chosen you and me –
Just mostly me!
Something incredible... I'll do something incredible
I want to be the tyrant who chained all of mankind
Raziel rolls his eyes toward the sky in desperation.
(Why are we singing?)
It's something I've foreseen: with Moebius's time machine
I'll do something incredible that breaks fate's cruel design!
And as long as we stick together
Raziel threatens Kain with the Soul Reaver.
– and you stay out of my way!
Kain pushes Raziel aside.
Out of my way!
We will change Nosgoth –
And re-write destiny our way!
So quit singing about it
– and do it!
How ready and psyched are we?!
And life is about to change for you
And life is about to change for me
And life is about to change for you and me...
But me mostly!
And there's no limit to
What we can do
Me and you
But mostly me!
Using his mist form, Kain vanishes from the Pillars. Alone, Raziel clenches his fists and sighs heavily.
I'm going to kill him.
