I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender, although I wish I did.

Katara sighed, unrolling her sleeping bag up. The thoughts kept plaguing her mind, no matter how hard she tried to deny it.

She couldn't stop thinking about Zuko, and knew that if any of the others had any idea of what was going on her mind, they would murder her.

But Katara couldn't help it. After being captured so he could get the Waterbending school, he wouldn't leave her mind. For the few moments he held onto her, she felt her heart flutter and her skin come alive.

The two of them kept running into each other, often during battles, but still… she found she often looked forward to those moments.

Yes, she knew they were enemies, and that they could never be together, but she couldn't help but hope. Her thoughts were often filled with daydreams and fantasies, none of which would ever come true.

Katara knew she would get over it at some point, it would just take time.

But a small part of her didn't want to get over it. She wanted to know what it would feel like if she pressed her lips against his. If his body would fit perfectly against hers.

Katara shook her head, trying to get of the thoughts.

Her hand snaked up and reached her necklace. He had given it back to her. He'd never hurt her, never targeted her specifically.

Katara groaned. It was going to be a long night.
