I've recently downloaded a whole bunch of Beetleborg eps from the first season, and while I haven't watched them all, I believe I can write their friendship. Takes place a little after Shadowborg miniseries and is just a one-shot. Beetleborgs belongs to Haim Saban and Fox Kids. I only own the plot.

Josh Baldwin was talking to Heather Mitchell as he stacked comic books.

"Are you sure you don't want me to help?" Heather asked, starting to stand.

"You just stay right there. Your leg's broken, remember?" Josh reminded, stopping her. Just then, the door burst open. Josh turned to see Roland Williams and Jo and Drew McCormick. His eyes widened when he realized that Drew was leaning on the other two.

"Drew! What happened?" he asked, running over to them. "Uh, hate to break it to you, man, but you're not looking so good," he added in concern.

"I'm fine. Honest," Drew insisted.

"You're not fine! That thing drained your powers," Roland reminded.

"What?" Josh asked. "What about Flabber? Can he give him a boost?" he checked in a softer tone. "I can't believe I just asked that," he stated.

"He just did," Jo answered.

"What?" Josh asked. And he still looks like death warmed over? That's not much of a boost, he thought.

"Trust me, this is an improvement," Roland assured, almost as if he had read the older boy's mind.

"This is all my fault," Jo moped. "The blast was meant for me," she stated.

"Hey, no one messes with my little sister," Drew told her.

"Josh, is Drew okay?" Heather asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Drew answered. Just then, the building shook.

"What was that?" Josh wondered.

"Oh, man. That thing's back," Roland realized.

"Okay, guys. Let's go," Drew said.

"Drew, no. You're too weak," Jo protested. He moved out of their grasp and-would've fallen if Josh hadn't caught him.

"They're right, Drew. You're no good to them this way," he agreed. Before Drew could respond, the building was rocked again.

"You guys better go," Josh stated.

"You'll take care of him?" Jo checked.

"Of course," Josh assured. Jo and Roland went outside, changed into the Beetleborgs and started fighting as Josh led Drew to a chair.

"Drew," Heather said worriedly.

"I'm fine," the boy was quick to assure. Then, "Josh, thanks."

"Hey, I've always got your back." The boys smiled at each other and Heather looked at them happily. They were finally getting along.
