Draco Malfoy swaggered down the corridor with an air of confidence floating along behind him. It was dark outside the walls of Hogwarts, but the bright white snowflakes falling to the ground seemed to brighten the night. It was nearing Christmas time and soon the children would be heading off to the train and on their way home to spend the holidays with their families. As Draco walked, he thought about how his Christmas would be this year. What his parents got him, how much they got him, and of course, what his parent's got for him. He was off in his own world when he slammed into someone, causing both to fall on the ground in a heap.

"You TWIT! Why don't you watch where you're going?!" he groaned as he opened his eyes to see who was on top of him.

A pair of bright blue orbs stared back at him with a look of such innocence it was almost sickening.

"I'm terribly sorry, Draco! The Wrackspurts must have been around!" a dreamy voice sounded in his ears.

"The what nows?" Draco said as he shoved Luna off of him.

She landed with a dull thud on the floor, and a small, 'umph!'

"Wrackspurts!" she chirped, her mood undampened. "They're little creatures that fly around and into your ears and make your brain go all fuzzy!" she explained while gathering her things off the floor. She stuck her wand behind her left ear once more and quickly rose from the floor.

She held out her hand to him, but he ignored it and pushed himself off of the floor.

"Whatever, Lovegood. Just watch where you're going next time." Draco sneered and turned to walk away but something stopped him.

It was like a force field was keeping him inside a small circle, and he just couldn't push his way out. Magic didn't seem to work either.

"What did you do NOW, Lovegood?" Draco growled as he pounded on the invisible wall.

"I didn't do anything, Draco." she replied dreamily, looking around for a way out. Her gaze shifted up as something bright and green caught her attention.

"Up there!" she exclaimed, pointing to the green shrub dangling from the top of the archway.

A piece of mistletoe strung from a red ribbon hung above the two blondes as they stared at it.

"That's where the Wrackspurts came from! They like to hide in mistletoe!" Luna chirped, pulling her gaze back to Draco.

"Not in the mood for your nonsense, Lovegood!" Draco ground out through his clenched teeth.

Luna didn't acknowledge his tone, but simply stared at Draco.

He grumbled under his breath.

"Let's get this over with." he mumbled out and moved closer to Luna.

"What do you-" she was cut off by a pair of lips on her own.

She was surprised for a second, but found herself kissing him back. Warm hands found her waist, and she dropped the book in her hands as they worked their way up to the back of his neck.

Draco didn't plan for the kiss to last that long. It was going to be short and to the point, but when he touched her warm lips, he found himself unable to let them go.

Finally, out of breath, the two pulled back and gazed at each other for a silent, tender moment.

Draco blinked and stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Later, Lovegood." he finally continued his walk down the corridor.

A smile spread across her face and Luna stood there for an extra second, her fingers pressed against her, now red, lips.

Another little story I came up with ages ago! Someone asked me to write it, and I never thought to post it! But here we are!
