Setting: Hermione is sitting on the stairs crying after the Yule Ball. Ron and her have just had a fight. Told from her point of view.
My tears burned my cheeks, and I was shivering. Through my tears, I saw Harry come around the corner. He dashed up to me, and immediately sat down. "Hermione, what happened?" he said. His voice was soaked in concern. I felt his arms wrap around me, and I leaned into his chest, still sobbing. In a few minutes, I stopped crying, but I was still freezing. I felt his hand stroking my cheek and closed my eyes. "Are you OK? he asked. "No" I whispered. "Can I take you somewhere?" he asked. "I guess so" I replied softly. I sat up and look up at him. He took my hand and pulled me up. He whispered "Accio" and my black scarf flew into his hand. "What's that for?" I asked warily. "You" he answered with a smile. Harry wrapped the scarf around my eyes, and I couldn't see a thing. "This better be good" I said.
He took my hand, and led me up the stairs. All I could tell is we were going up. After a few corridors and 4 flights of stairs, I heard him say "Alhomora". "Are we allowed to be here?" I asked. "Probably not" he said, and I could tell he was smiling. I heard the stone wall closing behind us, and it had dropped about 10 degrees. We climbed another flight of very steep stairs. Harry unlocked another door, and swung it opened. It creaked like it hadn't been open in a while. I felt the cool breeze of night on my face. "Ok, you can see know." Harry said. I him untie the scarf, and then I saw where he had brought me.
The night sky spread out before me, the galaxy at my feet. Miles and miles of fields and trees. Hogwarts windows glowing with the air of candle light. Harry had taken me to the highest tower platform in the school. I spread out my arms and breathed in the sweet wind. Harry stepped up next to me. "This is amazing. How did you find this place?" "I was wandering around and it revealed itself to me." he explained. "Well, this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen." I said. "It's absolutely amazing." He wrapped his arms around me and I leaned into him.
Eventually we sat down and let our legs swing over the edge. It was magical. We talked quietly, laughed a lot, and sometimes just sat there, silently, admiring the view. The time flew by, and soon it was time to go. We stood up and I turned to face him. "I can't thank you enough" I said. "You rescued my night." "Anytime," he said. "are you going to tell me what happened with Ron?" "He insulted me, and Krim." I explained. " Please don't say anything, though." I said. "Are you sure?" he asked. "Positive. Thank you, again. This was perfect. Goodnight." I turned and kissed him softly, then ran down the stairs before he could say anything.
