Father's and sons
Angel had reconciled with Conner. He had wanted that for so long. But his happiness was mixed with fear. He and his team were about to go into a battle from which none were likely to survive. And as glad as Angel was to have reconciled with his son, he would never be able to reconcile with his ow father. Not in this life, nor likely the next one. But as Angel waited for his team to arrive he saw him. It was his father. Angel didn't know if this was his father's ghost, or possibly the first evil come to torment Angel. Angel always hated how his father looked down on him, but the truth was that as a human "Liam" didn't do much to earn his father's repect. He stole his father's money and wasted it on booze and whores.
"Father, is it really you? Or are you a demon?"
"I'm your father boy. I know there's nothing I can say to prove it. But it looks like we'll be seing each other soon in the afterlife."
"I guess we will."
"Before you go, I just wanted to say, I'm proud of you. You were willing to give up everything, your humanity, your life, all to protect the innocent. You've come a long way. It was never my way to show my emotions. I tried to stay strong for you, for Sarah. That was how men behaved back then. But I should've told you more that I loved you."
"I love you too."
"Tell your friend Wesly that his beloved Winifred waits for him."
:" I thought her sou was destroyed."
: "Souls can't be destroyed by dark magic. Her soul might have left her body but it wait with me, despite what Illyria thinks. I should get going, you still have a lot of work ahead of you."
"Yes I do. I'll make you proud."
"You already have. Goodbye Liam."
:" Goodbye father."
