Cody The Pikachu: Hey there, everyone, and welcome back to Avatar Aang And The Chamber Of Secrets. I'm really sorry I hadn't uploaded in a long while, but after some internet difficulties, I'm back in business!
Currently, I'm writing another book; Dog Island will be put on hold. The book I'm writing will be questions asked by other people, and I'll be answering those questions in my own way. So the book will basically be life through the eyes and words of a young autistic man...which is what the title will kinda be called. If you got any questions, you can tell me, and I'll answer, but I'll let you know if I already got those questions.
So now, you all know the disclaimer and stuff. On with the story!

Nearly two hours after their discussion, Aang was declared fit and ready to head back to Gryffindor Tower. He had felt bad about leaving Harry behind, but there was nothing he could do. People weren't usually allowed into the hospital wing after hours, Madam Pomfrey had said, and he didn't want to break any rules at Hogwarts. So, glancing back once at Harry lying there in his hospital bed, he quickly left.
Once the Avatar got back to the Gryffindor common room minutes later, the party had still been going on, Sokka, Toph, and Kori having been invited. Aang didn't see Zuko among them (perhaps he had gone back to the Fire Nation), and the others of Team Avatar had started the party with the Weasley twins ever since they had come back. Aang had learned all this from Sokka, who had told him about how they had convinced the house elves to help out with the party.
But only after having one glass of pumpkin juice, Aang headed over towards the fireplace to meditate, Katara following him to lie down on the couch next to him. He recalled Harry lying there alone in the hospital wing, and he recalled the time when he was temporarily killed off by Azula years ago, having been struck in the back by her lightning attack. Of course he had Katara there to help him recover and lay down beside him sometimes, but Harry had no one. He knew he would be okay for the night, but he could have a hard time sleeping due to his boneless arm.
I wish we can go up to the hospital wing and see him, Aang thought, opening his eyes to look into the flames. But we can't visit the hospital wing at night. Maybe we can go early in the morning?
"Aang?" He looked around to see Katara rolling off the couch and landing on her hands and knees. "How're you feeling after the Quidditch match?"
"Feeling better now thanks to Madam Pomfrey. She's as great as our healer on Air Temple Island," Aang replied with a small smile. But his smile faded as he added, "But I do feel bad for Harry. He's gonna be pretty much alone in the hospital wing by himself."
Katara nodded with a slight frown as she crawled over to him, hugging him once she got to him. "How about we visit him after hours? Just to see how he's feeling and if he needs anything?"
Aang was surprised by her willingness to go there after hours. Then, with a grin, he asked jokingly, "Who are you, and what've you done to Katara? I never thought you'd be breaking some rules."
"I've done that too; remember that scam Toph and I tried to pull?" Katara asked, nuzzling him until his face was hidden by her hair. Once her hair had completely covered their faces, she gave his nose a little lick before saying, "Besides, you got EarthBending, remember? I don't think they can sense you using EarthBending."
"Yeah, that's true," Aang mused. "But I'll need some help from Toph with that; I've been using EarthBending less than the other elements. So...I can go ahead and take whatever food is at the party?"
Katara nodded. "Sure. And I'll give him some extra blankets to help him warm up."
"Hey Twinkletoes! Sugar Queen!" Toph called from the other side of the room. They pulled away from each other as she asked, "What's up with you guys?"
"Erm...we're gonna visit Harry later on," Aang said. "You know a secret way to the hospital wing?"
Toph shrugged. "I might. Just meet me outside the Fat Lady's picture tonight. We'll be as quiet as elephant mice."
So the three of them met together later that night; Momo and Gin couldn't go with them, so Aang and Katara gave them treats to keep them occupied. When Aang and Toph started tunneling, it wasn't that hard to do. Toph had already invented MetalBending years ago, proof that she could handle any kind of earth...except for lava, which only an Avatar could Bend. Anyways, they had tunneled through the place well, bumping into a few dead ends, before the finally ended up reaching the hospital wing.
Or...inside the hospital wing. When Aang had come out of the hole and helped Katara out, he looked around. Shafts of moonlight were coming in through the windows, and he could see Katara's dark brown hair turning silver in the light.
"You remember that seismic communication I taught you?" Toph had asked before she left, still staying in the hole. When Aang confirmed so, she said, "Good. Let me know if you guys wanna take the shortcut back. See ya later."
And at that, she ducked back into the hole, which disappeared after her.
Aang (who was wearing only night pants but was covered by a robe) looked at the closed doors of the hospital wing before sharing a look with Katara (who was wearing blue sweatpants and a white shirt that didn't expose her stomach). They knew they would be breaking the rules in going into the hospital wing, but after seeing Harry sleeping just a little bit away from them, they knew it was worth the risk. So they quietly moved forward until they were standing next to his bed, away from the patch of moonlight.
"Harry?" Aang whispered, setting the bag down next to the sleeping Boy Who Lived. He lit the candle on the nightstand with FireBending and went on, "It's us. We got something for you."
Harry's green eyes fluttered open before he turned his face to them. "Hey," he whispered. "Thanks for coming over. I nearly fell asleep when you all left."
"Well, you got company now," Katara replied, taking out the stuff from the bag. "We got you a midnight snack, some water, and an extra blanket to keep you warm at night. You need help arranging that arm around?" she asked, her gaze shifting to Harry's lifeless arm.
"No, I'm fine. But thanks for...Dobby!" Harry suddenly gasped.
Aang and Katara followed Harry's gaze to notice Dobby, who was now sitting at the end of the bed. The house elf's green eyes were glistening with tears as he whispered miserably, "Harry Potter, Avatar Aang, and their friends came back to school. Dobby warned and warned them. Ah, sirs and miss, why didn't you heed Dobby? Why didn't they go back home when Harry Potter missed the train?"
That made Aang suspicious right away. How did Dobby know Harry was about to go through the barrier at the train station?
"How did you know we were there?" Katara asked. "Were you there?"
All of a sudden, Harry hissed, "I bet you WERE there! You're the one who stopped the barrier from letting us through!"
"Indeed, sir," Dobby said, nodding so wildly that his long ears flapped like a camelephant's. "Dobby hid and watched for Harry Potter and sealed the gateway, and Dobby had to iron his hands afterwards..." He showed them his bandaged fingers. "...but Dobby didn't care, sir, for he thought Harry Potter was safe, and Avatar Aang and his friends would take him back home. And NEVER did Dobby dream that Harry Potter would get to school another way!" He began rocking back and forth as he went on, "Dobby was so shcoked when he heard Harry Potter and friends were back at school that he let his master's dinner burn! Such a flogging Dobby had never received, sirs and miss..."
Now that Aang was looking closer, he did see the sight of a bruise on his shoulder. It looked as if he was being abused by his master, and strange animal or not, he hated seeing another living being getting abused. In fact, he remembered almost going into the Avatar State when a man started beating his pet in public, and he was quick to give him an everlasting lesson. Not a gory or deathly one, but he did scare the man into quickly getting arrested
"You nearly got me and Ron expelled," Harry growled to Dobby in the meantime, slumping bck onto his pillows. "You'd better get lost before my bones grow back, Dobby, or I might strangle you!"
"Harry!" Katara gasped, giving him a look of shock and reproval. "You can't threaten him like this!"
Harry glared around at the WaterBender. "What? You'd be like this too if you had the bones in your arms removed. So don't tell me otherwise!"
Aang, who was feeling sorry for Harry earlier, now felt miffed at how Harry talked to his girlfriend like that. So he stepped in and said in a firm tone, "Okay, that's enough. Harry, don't talk to my girlfriend like that ever again. And you gotta apologize to Dobby too."
"No, Dobby's fine, sir," Dobby said with a weak smile. "Dobby is used to death threats; he gets them five times a day at home."
With that, he blew his nose on the filthy pillowcase he always wore on his body. As if already convinced that Dobby was abused, Katara gave Harry another reproachful look, and the latter looked like he was softening up.
"Why do you wear that thing?" he asked Dobby.
The house elf plucked at his pillowcase. "'Tis the mark of the house-elf's enslavement, sir. Dobby can only be freed if his master presents him with clothes, sir. The family is careful not to pass Dobby even a sock or necklace, sir, for then he would be free to leave their house forever." Then suddenly, he mopped his eyes and rasped, "Harry Potter and friends must go home, sirs and miss! Dobby thought his Bludger would be enough to-"
"YOUR Bludger?!" Harry snapped as he sat back up, looking angry again while Dobby stepped back. "What d'you mean, YOUR Bludger?!"
"Lie back down; you don't want to tire yourself out," Katara told him firmly. Turning to Dobby, she asked in a calm yet wary tone, "So you made the Bludger? If you wanted to protect us so bad, why'd you make it try to kill Harry?"
"Not kill him, miss! Never kill him!" Dobby squeaked, stepping away from her. "Better sent home, grieviously injured, than remain here! Dobby only wanted Harry Potter hurt enough to be sent home!"
Harry rolled his eyes. "Oh, is that all? I don't suppose you're going to tell me why you wanted me sent home in pieces?"
Katara turned to give Harry another scolding look, but Aang rested a hand on her shoulder to calm her down. In the meantime, though, Dobby began crying more as he wailed, "Ah, if only Harry Potter and friends knew! If only they knew what Harry Potter means to us, to the lowly, the enslaved, we dregs of the magical world! Dobby remembers how it was when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was at the height of his powers, sirs and miss! We house-elves were treated like vermin, sirs and miss! Of course, Dobby is still treated like that," he admitted as he dried his face on the pillowcase.
Aang and Katara shared a look, and the latter had an equally concerned look on her face. Whoever Dobby's masters were, they knew he had to get away from them.
"But Harry Potter, sir, life has improved for my kind since you triumphed over He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Harry Potter survived, and the Dark Lords power was broken, and it was a new dawn, sirs and miss, and Harry Potter shone like a beacon of hope for those who thought the dark days would never end. And now, listen! Terrible things are about to happen at Hogwarts, are perhaps happening already, and Dobby cannot let Harry Potter, Avatar Aang, and their friends stay here now that history is to repeat itself, now that the Chamber of Secrets is open once more..."
Just then, he froze...and then he grabbed the water jug Aang and Katara brought over from the nightstand and hit himself in the head with it, toppling out of sight. Then he climbed wearily back onto the bed, cross-eyed and mumbling, "Bad Dobby...very bad Dobby..."
"I think you've had enough hitting yourself in the head," Aang told him, taking the water jug and putting it on the table far away from the elf. "So the chamber was open before? How is that so?"
"But I'm not Muggle-born," Harry added. "How can I be in danger from the Chamber?"
Dobby's eyes shone in the dark as he whispered, "Ask no more, ask no more of poor Dobby. Dark deeds are planned in this place, but Harry Potter, Avatar Aang, and friends must not be here when they happen. Go home, sirs and miss, go home. Harry Potter and friends must not meddle in this, sirs and miss; 'tis too dangerous..."
"Can you tell us who opened the Chamber?" Katara asked gently, stepping in the way so that Dobby couldn't get to the water jug. "Who opened it last time?"
"Dobby can't, miss, Dobby can't! Dobby mustn't tell!" Dobby squealed. "Go home, sirs and miss, go home!"
Harry looked at him fiercely. "We're not going anywhere! One of my best friends is Muggle-born, and she'll be first in line if the Chamber really has been opened."
Aang nodded, recalling what Professor McGonagall had told them about the Chamber. "And don't forget Katara and Toph; they're Benders, but they were born to non-Benders. We're not leaving just so they get attacked."
Dobby moaned in what seemed like a seizure, "Harry Pottr and friends risk their own lives for each other! So noble, so valiant! But they must save themselves, they must! Harry Potter and friends must not-"
But before he could go on, footsteps were sounding outside the hospital wing, and Dobby froze in alarm. With a snap of his fingers, he suddenly vanished right there and then.
"We better go," Katara told Harry as she and Aang got up from his bed. "And make sure you sleep well. We'll see you tomorrow morning."
"And I hope your bones grow back okay," Aang added. "We don't want Lockhart going for your other arm."
Katara gave her boyfriend a nudge at that, but he could tell it was a half-hearted nudge. So they said their good-nights to him and started heading towards the door...only to be met by Professors Dumbledore and McGonagall at the hospital wing entrance.
"Good evening, you two," McGonagall greeted them before anyone else could say anything. "Any reason why you are here this late at night?"
The Avatar and his girlfriend glanced back at Harry's bed before Katara explained, "We were coming in to check on Harry. To see if he's sleeping well."
McGonagall looked a tiny bit suspicious. Dumbledore, however, said, "It's always good to be concerned for your friends. But Madam Pomfrey is doing her best to regrow Harry's arm bones. Still, I am happy to hear that you were concerned for Harry, and I think it's time for you to go on back to Gryffindor Tower." To McGonagall, he said, "Get Madam Pomfrey, and hurry."
The head of Gryffindor nodded before saying, "You two better hurry off to bed. We're handling it the best we can."
Aang and Katara nodded before heading out of the hospital wing and nearly tripping over something. They got back to their feet and were starting to walk back...only for Katara to turn and gasp in shock. Aang followed her gaze and saw something that made his feet feel frozen to the ground.
Colin Creevey, the boy who always carried that "camera" around, was being levitated into the hospital wing by McGonagall. His eyes were as wide as leechi nuts, and his hands were clutching the camera in front of him. Whatever made him frozen was apparently the same thing that froze Filch's cat a few nights ago. And soon enough, Madam Pomfrey had rushed into the area, and Aang and Katara lingered around to hear what they had to say.
"Another attack," Dumbledore was sighing. "Minerva found him on the stairs."
"There was a bunch of grapes next to him," McGonagall added. "We think he was trying to sneak up here to visit Potter."
That could've been either one of us, Aang thought with dread, sharing a horrified look with Katara. Now he was thankful more than ever that Toph had arranged to get to the hospital wing by EarthBending...but he wished they could have saved Colin.
"Petrified?" Madam Pomfrey whispered.
"Yes," McGonagall answered. "But I shudder to think...if Albus hadn't been on the way downstairs for hot chocolate...who knows what might have..."
Normally, Aang and Katara would smile at Dumbledore's antics...but this was not a good time to laugh. Then, they heard McGonagall ask eagerly, "You don't think he managed to get a picture of his attacker?"
Dumbledore didn't answer. And then, the sound of hissing steam sounded from the hospital wing followed by a strange scent. Aang didn't know what it was, but it reminded him of the pollution near Avatar Yangchen's memorial a long while ago.
"Melted," Madam Pomfrey muttered. "All melted..."
"What does this mean, Albus?" McGonagall asked urgently.
Again, Dumbledore didn't answer. And then he spoke: "It means that the Chamber of Secrets is indeed open again."
Beside Aang, Katara gasped and reeled back a bit. Aang himself also remembered Professor McGonagall saying something like this in class, saying that there could be a chance that the chamber would open again. Could someone have had snuck over there and unleashed the monster from within?
Finally, McGonagall asked, "But Albus...surely...who?"
"The question is not who," Dumbledore replied solemnly. "The question is how."
To be continued...
