Enough time had passed since Soubi entered his life that the current situation did not seem odd to Ritsuka. He was seated on his fighter's bed, and Soubi sat on the floor in front of him sketching. Meanwhile he ran his fingers through long light blonde hair.

He occasionally tried to catch a glimpse of the drawing, but Soubi felt him turn and moved to block him. Laughing he said finally "Okay, okay I won't look."

After about an hour, he put the pencils and eraser away. "Finished?" Ritsuka asked. "Yes, would you like to see?"

Gently removing his fingers from silken strands he cheerily replied "Definitely."

Soubi propped himself up to sit on the bed. He passed the well-bound drawing pad and waited for his sacrifice's response, hoping for approval. Ritsuka stared in astonishment at the perfect portrait of himself.

Soubi didn't need Ritsuka to model even for precision with detail, he knew his face by heart.

"This is amazing Soubi." The drawing included extensive exactness: individual strands of hair, distinct shading matching the tint of his skin color, and the eyes even contained a light of life. He also made sure to include a vision of the smile he loved.

After the camera flash faded, Soubi draped an arm over his shoulder. "I had perfect inspiration; it is only suitable that I do my best to reach for an appropriate depiction nearly as amazing as you. It's yours to take home tonight."

Ritsuka turned and wrapped his arms around Soubi. "Thank you."

Separating Soubi breathed in the scent of his sacrifice's favorite shampoo. "Ritsuka I want to make something clear to you. I am your fighter and want only the best for you. I will do anything for you. I'll take you across the world, I'll make your dreams come to be reality, if you ask me to kill someone later that day I will lay their body at your feet."

Surprised but accustomed to such an odd collection of words Ritsuka smiled. "You won't have to do anything like that." Arms remaining wrapped around his fighter he rested his head against the broad chest covered by smooth fabric. Slight jumps against his cheek marked Soubi's heartbeat.

Feeling comfortable and entirely at peace, he closed his eyes and words readily escaped his lips in a whisper "I love you Soubi."

Was it a mistaken statement? Was he confused? When moment after moment passed and he did not retract the confession, incomparable happiness filled Soubi.

He smiled and gently rubbed his dear sacrifice's back, "I love you Ritsuka."

A/N: This didn't turn out at all as planned, but way better. It's great when my writing moves that way. (Plus this sweet story brightened my mood.)
