Okay so I'm really sorry... like really, really sorry, i know it's been almost 2 months, but I'll explain myself in the author's note below.
Disclaimer: I (sadly) don't own anything from RotG! But Kristen is mine!
"Pitch, we need to talk"
Pitch turned his back to her for a moment but only to gently shut his bedroom door, Kristen could tell that he was slightly frustrated with her, but she hoped that his frustration would go away after she was able to talk to him now.
He led her over to his couch, without saying a word to her and motioned for her to take a seat, which she immediately did, never letting her eyes leave him as he lowered himself down into a cushioned black chair across from her.
"Pitch…. I don't really know how to tell you this, but it's something you deserve to know and I feel like I need to tell you this." Kristen said, her voice wavering slightly. Pitch tilted his head slightly, telling her that he was listening. "Pitch, IthinkI'mstartingtolikeyou." Kristen spit out, all too quickly.
He furrowed his brow. "What was that Kristen? I couldn't quite understand you." He asked in genuine confusion.
Kristen let out a deep sigh. "I said that I think I'm starting to like you." She repeated, but much slower this time, not letting her voice waver and instead letting it ring out loud and clear.
Pitch's bright eyes widened in shock as he sat up straighter in his chair, suddenly more engrossed in the conversation. "You… you do?" He asked still sounding unsure of what he was hearing.
Then there was complete silence from Pitch. Kristen couldn't help but wonder why as she looked up at him from beneath her hair that had fallen over her face in layers.
Suddenly Pitch was much too close! She hadn't even heard him when he stood up and came right up in front of her, but he had done it all!
He placed his hands on either side of her head, forcing her to lean back into the couch as placed his face right up next to hers and stared straight into her deep blue eyes. "You're not lying?" He asked in disbelief as he searched her eyes for a trace of a lie.
Kristen shook her head 'no' feeling to invaded to talk because Pitch was literally an inch away from her, and then he lent even closer almost as if he was being pulled by an invisible rope. "Kristen, please… can I please kiss you?" He asked, sounding rather strained.
She didn't know what to say so instead she only gave him a small nod, feeling like he deserved this one.
Slowly, Pitch lent over and cautiously tilted his head to the side then he took a deep breath in and pressed his lips up against hers. Kristen watched as his eyes fluttered shut and soon enough she closed her eyes as well, moving her hands to his shoulders so she could try to return the kiss.
Pitch pulled her to her feet and wrapped his arms around her waist so he could hold her body gently up against his. Kristen's hands found Pitch's hair and she gently entwined her fingers in his smooth black hair. After a minute of this she gently placed her hands on his chest and pushed him back.
He reluctantly backed away from her and gave her the space she needed. "Thank you, Kristen." He said, staring at her straight in the eyes.
Kristen smiled. "You don't have to thank me, Pitch, but I do hope you know I said I like you, not love…" She clarified, just making sure that he wouldn't make a mistake and think that she was head-over-heels for him.
She was almost positive she heard Pitch mutter 'not yet' but she chose to shake that off. "I know, Kristen. I understand." He said sounding somewhat sad. "So why don't you join me for lunch since I know it's been a while since you've left your room." Pitch said in an understanding matter.
Kristen willingly accepted Pitch's offered arm and let him lead her out of his bedroom and down into the living room, just casually talking on their way down.
"What would you like for lunch, darling?" Pitch asked after a moment of silence once they entered the dining room. He escorted her to her seat and pushed her in up next to the table before going to sit down next to her.
Kristen thought about it for a moment before asking Pitch if he could get some Chinese food, which he gladly obliged to get for her.
They ate in comfortable silence, neither of them having much to say right now and instead just enjoying their food and the quite that came with it.
Pitch finished much faster than she did and Kristen didn't even notice as he watched her finish her meal. When she looked up she was surprised to see Pitch staring at her in an almost loving manner, and she quickly brought her gaze back down to her food, the blush spreading back across her face.
His deep, throaty chuckle reached her ears and she felt her face heat up even more. Kristen pushed back her chair and stood up turning around and facing Pitch. "Thank you for the meal Pitch, now excuse me, but I'm going to head back to my room."
She turned to leave but Pitch quickly caught her wrist in his hand, wrapping his long slender fingers around her wrist. Kristen whipped her head around to see Pitch holding her back.
"Kristen, why don't we do something together? Maybe we could watch a movie or something?" He asked sounding almost desperate as he kept her wrist in his grasp.
She backed up and turned around so she could feel like she was actually talking to him. "Um… sure Pitch, what movie do you want to watch?" She asked hesitantly.
Pitch's eyes light up and he wound their fingers together so they were holding hands, then he dragged her out of the dining room and into another room that she'd never been in, but it strongly resembled a living room with a plush black couch, some comfy chairs a carpet and a television. There was also a fireplace a coffee table and an armoire looking object.
He ushered her to sit down on the couch and then sat down next to her. "You may choose the movie." He offered affectionately.
Kristen thought about it for only a moment. "Can we watch something like The Titanic or Romeo and Juliet? I know… I'm a sucker for love stories, but we don't need to watch one if you don't want to." She said, now trailing off.
Pitch smiled down at her and snapped his fingers. "It doesn't matter to me, if you'd like to watch it we will." Then the television screen lit up and the theme music for The Titanic started playing throughout the room.
Kristen settled backwards into the couch and pulled her feet up next to her so she could enjoy the movie better. Then before she could protest Pitch wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her next to him so she was leaning against his body.
She was about to tell him to get off of her but then she was hit with a burst of warmth and comfort as she leant down into him so she could thoroughly enjoy the movie.
Around the middle of the movie Kristen could feel herself nodding off, but she tried to stay awake, although her eyes kept drooping shut and soon enough she was fast asleep, her face pressed into Pitch's hard chest.
She woke up to find herself being carried. She was held bridal style, arms underneath her legs and back holding her up against a warm body.
Kristen groggily opened her eyes and looked up to see Pitch as he carried her towards her room. "Pitch?" She asked, showing him that she was awake. He stopped suddenly and looked down at her. "You can put me down now, I can walk." She told him.
He set her down on her feet and let her walk by herself but once she took a step forwards she got the dizzy feeling you get when you stand up too quickly then her vision blacked out for a moment and she fell backwards. Pitch was quick to catch her and pull her back up into his arms. "I'd better carry you to your room, so you don't fall."
She didn't bother arguing and instead let him carry her to her room. Pitch set her down on the bed and pulled the covers up around her body.
"Goodnight, Kristen." He said, letting his lips land on her forehead.
Kristen turned her head into the pillows and sleepily pulled the covers up around her. "Night Pitch." She said in reply, then nodded off again, not able to see his face when she said goodnight to him.
So did you like it?
Okay, the reason i was so late was because my computer that had the 'rough draft' of this whole story broke, like it won't turn on or anything so it's all gone, so I've been trying to remember everything that I wrote but I now have to use my crappy school computer that deletes everything I 'saved' every time I turn it off. So this whole chapter is written in one day. It's going to be extremely difficult for me to update now, but I'm going to have the next chapter up faster this one!
I hope you all like this chapter! I worked really hard on it! Please review and favorite and follow!
