"Don't be so stupid Chloe!"

"I'm the stupid one?! You're the one who started this damn thing, Aubrey!"

"Fine Chloe, fine. We're done! I can't be friends with someone like you! Just shut up"

"I agree. Aubrey, we are no longer friends. *sniffles* Don't call me. Don't text me. *sniffles again* Just, just lose my number!"

Chloe and I have been best friends since we were in high school. Chloe is a little bit more adventurous than me, but I am my father's daughter. He said "In our family, we don't do anything we might regret later on." I've always been a good girl. Except maybe last night. Chloe talked me into going to little get together with her. But, she tricked me. It turned out to be a party. One of those "stay up till 2 am" ones. I had two drinks, but Chloe... she had like six!

So, Chloe was a little drunk. She was spending the night at my place, so I drove us there. She was murmuring and muttering all this crap. This morning, I asked Chloe why she tricked me. Then she yelled at me.

She said "I did you a favor Aubrey. Without me, you wouldn't know what having FUN is! You should be thanking me."

"Chloe, you know very well that I don't disobey my father. Why did you do this to me? I thought we were friends. When my dad finds out..."

She cut me off "Aubrey, we're grown ups now! Our parents can't tell us what to do. They can't just treat us like we're five. We can say and do WHATEVER we want. We have our own lives now. You do realize how old you are right? At the age of twenty, we're pretty much free."

And this is how the fight happened.

Chloe went home right after our fight. I sat on my bed frustrated. I threw a pillow across the room. I felt a blow coming on, so I ran to the bathroom. The blow came out without a doubt. I finished throwing up and went back to my room. I sat on my bed and thought about I had just done. I just lost the best friend I have ever had. Chloe can be a little sensitive, so I decided to give her time.

2 hours later

I dialed Chloe's number so I could apologize to her. I called like, five times and she didn't answer. I decided to text her. "Come on Chlo, pick up the phone. Please. We need to talk." She didn't reply, so I just called again. She picked up.

"I'm so sorry Chloe. I didn't mean to overreact. It's just that I was a little, well, jealous that you could have so much fun. You know I'm not the drinking/partying type. I needed an excuse because I was too weak to admit my jealousy. I know that, it was a pretty crappy excuse. I'm really sorry Chlo. Please forgive me." I awaited her response, but nothing came from the other end. Finally I broke the silence "Well, say something. I really can't stay away from the best friend I have ever had." I heard crying on the other end. "Chloe, where are you?" Through her tears, she managed to say downstairs at the front door. I hung up and ran down the stairs. Slowly I opened the door and found Chloe staring at me. I grabbed her and hugged her.

"Chloe! You came back. I'm so sorry. I can't believe how idiotic I was." I eventually let go of her. I started at her, and she smiled and said "It's fine. I forgive you. Oh and by the way, I'm sorry too.
