A drabble for the paint it red monthly challenge 'save me'
Lisbon looks on in terror as Jane approaches Red John. His determination is clear in each step that never falters, his head erect, his eyes never straying from his target, his hands empty of a weapon.
"Jane I need you. You taught me the warmth of the sun, the delicate wings of a butterfly, the beauty of the moon."
Jane collapses to the ground as the knife pierces his heart.
Red John turns, removes the gag and releases her. She falls to her knees, takes her lifeless friend, saviour in her arms:
"I already know how to cry."
