Relena knew she was in for it, risking her life to get the files she stole from the military base adn take them to the Cinq Kingdom, where they belong. She never stole anything before in her life. She never needed to. Although she knew what she was doing was wrong, not only wrong, but dangerous, she couldn't help it. What choice did she have? She needed those files ASAP, no matter what the cost. She also got a little kick out of it, taking a chance for what she beleived in. But when she heard people running after her and she was running for her life, she wish she had asked someone to do it for her, like Hilde or Heero, maybe even Dorothy. But it was her country; her job.
Picking up the pace, she ran up the stairs and closed the door behind her. She was up on the roof. Then she saw someone wearing black in front of her. She gasped and put her hand to her mouth. He had reddish-brown hair with bangs that hung across his face and brilliant green eyes, like emeralds. (Is it just me, or does Trowa have beautiful green eyes?!) A second later she reconized the person.
"T-Trowa?" she stammered, "W-what are you doing here?"
He nodded to the folder she was carrying.
"You came for this too?"
He nodded again, "you beat me to it. I'm surprised you'd do this."
Relena heard footsteps from inside. Relena shrieked and backed into Trowa, "we're trapped!"
"I wouldn't say that," Trowa said, his eyes moving over to the edge of the roof. "We've got to jump."
"Jump!" she looked over the edge, "are you crazy?!"
He shook his head, "I've done things like this all the time."
She shuddered, "It's a long way down."
"Yes, it is, yes...it is." He wrapped his arms acrossed her chest and pulled her into him. Relena put her hands on his arms and leaned back.
"Don't move!" the people broke open the door.
"T-Trowa," Relena mumbled, "maybe this isn't such a good...."
Then Trowa jumped off the roof.
"...Aughhhh!" she screamed all the way down. Trowa flipped multiple times in the air. Relena hooked her feet around Trowa's legs to keep from slipping. Miracuously, he landed on his feet.
Without even waiting for her to catch her breath, Trowa grabbed Relena's hand and fled away to his truck holding Heavyarms incase, he needed it.
The people in the base couldn't beleive what they just saw and stood there, stunned. "That's it,"one of them said, "I can't live like this anymore, I quit!"
"Yeah, me too." Another agreed.
Relena was panting as Trowa drove to a vacant parking lot. "How...how did you know?" she asked.
"Hmm?" he turned off the engine.
"That I'd be here."
She sighed, "that's not what I'm getting at. Trowa, how did I know I needed those files?"
"Because," he started, "they belong to the Cinq Kingdom. They do not belong back there, in the wrong hands. I wanted to get them..." he trailed off and found his words again, "for you."
"Why would you do that for me?" she asked, It's my country, my job, my res-" he silenced her by putting his fingertips to her lips.
"Relena," he murmured, "I wanted to help you. I respect and admire you."
He nodded, "I want to know what it is like to live peacefully. I've been living dangerously far too long."
"You don't want to live dangerously?"
He grinned, "Welll," he scooted closer to her, "Not exactly, I'm used to walking on a tight rope, training with wild animals and being a target at my sister's knife throwing act." He winked at her, "I can live dangerously once in a while."
Relena smiled as Trowa leaned into to kiss her. She reached her hands to shoulders. His longs bangs tickled her face. She always wanted to kiss Heero Yuy, the gundam pilot of her dreams, but it didn't quite happen that way. Instead, she was kissing Trowa Barton, another gundam pilot. Trowa lived dangerously, as Heero did. Relena returned Trowa's kiss, savering the taste of Trowa's lips.. Living dangerously never felt and tasted so good.
