Characters may be OOC, but I don't really care. Its only for fun.

Disclamer: I will never own TMNT.

I am going to start writing two fanfictions, to help with writers block. One is a Beauty and the Beast after story, the next is a Greek Mythology story. Look forward to them. Thank you for your support. See you next time.

Epilogue

Two years had passed since Leo went to South America for training. He was comfortable, but he missed his family. The fire that he built softly crackled as night went on. The silence was soon destroyed by the sound of footsteps above his burrowed hideout.

Weak spot. Leo thought right when the footstep landed on a portion of land. He quickly jumped under ready to catch whoever was there. The familiar scream of April filled the empty cave.

"It's a long way from the city to just drop in." Leo teased as April adjusted in his arms to a more comfortable state.

"Leo!" She quickly jumped down and hugged her old friend. "How have you been?"

The turtle smiled. "Been doing fairly well, what brings you here?"

April shrugged. "Heard some rumors, decided to check it out. You know Leo, your training has been over for a year now."

Leo sighed and moved over back to the fire he had built. Picking up a stick and prodding the flame he kept it ablaze. "I didn't feel like it was over, so I extended it to try to feel a little less like a failure."

April went and sat by her friend. "Your family wouldn't think you were a failure."

"Right," Leo said, a little happy. "How are they doing?"

"Well, Donny got a job as a personal computer assistant." Leo gave her a funny look. "The kind you can call on the phone and they would help you learn/fix your computer." He nodded, now understanding. "Mikey has his own party character company. He dresses, pretty much as himself, and allows kids to beat him up. It's actually going very well."

"Splinter?"

"Still watching his shows and training your brothers. Xever left shortly after you did, to find his own way, I think is what he said. And Karai, wait she's going by Miwa now." She laughed slightly at her mistake.

"She came with you." Leo stood and walked closer to the darker area of the cave. "Why are you hiding?"

At that point, Karai entered into the lighted part of Leo's current home. Her hair had gotten longer, at least down to her shoulders, and she looked more like the woman she was rather than a girl. Leo smiled and motioned her over to him. Karai, hesitant at first, stepped closer to him, only to start running then fall into his open arms.

"I missed you Leo." She whispered as he held her tightly.

"I missed you too, Miwa."

Miwa pulled away and gazed into his eyes. "There's something I want to tell you." She quickly looked over to April who motioned her to go on. "This may seem weird, seeing that my father raised you like sons, but…"

"Splinter is like a father to me, but he never truly adopted us. You would be about as much as my sister as April is, which she isn't." Leo joked.

Miwa nodded and continued. "Leo, even though we had been through very hard times, I still cared for you deeply. This is really hard for me to say, partially because I never felt this way until more recent time's but-"

Leo cut her off. "Miwa," She shut up. "You talk too much." Gently pecking her lips he showed his feelings for her. "I love you too."

Miwa and Leo went back over to the fire and sat next to April. Though he seemed calm, Leo was scared inside. They had not told him how Raphael was yet. When they didn't bring him up, he finally asked.

"Guys, how's Raph doing?"

"Oh," April squeaked. "Silly me, he got engaged."

The turtle let out a relieved laugh. "So, he's finally tying the knot? Good, I was worried that he still was having a hard time. He's not being a smart-alic and sneaking out at night, right?"

"No," Miwa said, surprising Leo. "He's taken your request very seriously and has been a good leader to your brothers while you have been gone. Right now, he's enjoying his time with his family."

Leo nodded. After some silence with his deep thinking he made up his mind. He was going to go back home. He was ready to see his family again. He was ready to lead again.

The sewers still had the same spell, feel, and everything else since Leo had left. Muscle memory lead him back home, where he found Donny working with a customer, Mikey working on his costume, and, Splinter enjoying what was on the Television. Leo entered the room, where he became known by his family.

Mikey was the first to jump up and run to his brother, bear hugging him. Splinter got up and made his way to the two, placing his hand on Leo's shoulder.

"It's good to see you home, Leonardo." The old rat said.

"It's good to be home."

"Man," Mikey blurted in. "You've been gone for, like, ever."

By this time, Donny had finished his call and joined them. "Why did you extend the period to two years, may I ask?"

Leo looked down, slightly embarrassed. "I felt that coming back at the given time, I would have been a failure to this family. I wanted to feel ready to come back."

A new voice entered the room. "We never would have though you a failure." Leo turned to see Raph, whose hand was on the side arch where he was entering. "You're our brother. Nothing is going to change that, Leo."

The eldest smiled. "Hey Raph, it's good to see you."

"It's good to see that you came back alive." Raphael teased.

Leo separated from the other and went over to the temporary leader. "Thanks for taking over for me. Now, where's my soon to be sister in law?"

Raphael held up one finger, a gesture to wait a moment, as he went to get his fiancée. Shortly after the red clad turtle went into a different room a feminine voice, a very familiar voice.

"He's back!" She said with enthusiasm. "Why didn't you tell me?"

A sigh came from Raphael. "Because he came home without telling us. None of us knew he was coming home."

Leo waited patiently for her to come out. A quick flash of green came out and hugged the leading turtle. He quickly wrapped his arms around the slim form. She was laughing and tightened her hold. Eventually they parted, causing Leo to place his hand on the scar along her side.

"I'm home Mona." Leo said to the mutated girl.

Moments passed and everything went back to a normal pace. Leo stood by Raph, calmly taking in the nostalgia of his home. Finally, Leo spoke.

"It's good to see you happy with her."

"Yea, it's good that Donny came to when he did, otherwise we would have really lost her. I was so scared when she passed out from the blood loss that I panicked. Didn't think to check for a pulse or truly see if she was dead." Raphael folded his arms across his shell. "I don't want that to happen again. I love her too much to lose her."

"I understand." Leo looked to Mona. She glanced over to them and motioned for them to join in the activity they were doing. "I'm going to give you and Mona some time alone." Leo walked over to the group and said something inaudible to anyone other than the mutated girl. She nodded and waltz over to Raph, grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the lair.

"Raph," she said as she placed her hands behind his neck. "You know that I love your, right?"

"Yeah." He replied as his arms slid around her waist.

"I'm glad you saved me that day. I can't imagine where I would be without you." She placed her head on his chest. "Thank you for loving me for who I am."

Raph chuckled. "I should be thanking you. You changed me to be a better person. Because of you, I wanted to be better. I should thank you for loving someone like me. I'm glad that I met you, as well as allowing you to know me."

Mona lifted her head and looked into Raph's jade eyes. Slowly, they moved closer and connected their lips in a gentle kiss. Holding that position, they sealed their love for each other forever more.
