Notes: Hey there~ Well, I'm kind of...procrastinating..again, and I felt like posting something so I wrote something short. This is kind of based on something real. The accident, that is. It happened in Kuching, Malaysia a week ago, kind of. So yeah...enjoy. They are probably a bit or a lot OOC but meh~ Enjoy it nonetheless...

Nanjirou trembled, his hands gripping the steering wheel so hard that his knuckles practically turned white. It all happened so fast. One minute, he was driving home at a moderate speed, and the next, he saw the car in front of him turned at the corner and a child flew out of the backseat.

He immediately stopped the car. The child wasn't so lucky though. Because it happened all so suddenly, the car from the other lane couldn't see what happened, and couldn't stop in time. The child was run over. He went out of his car, and helped the frantic mother to call 9-1-1 to ask for an ambulance.

It appeared that the mother of the child did not put on the seatbelt for the child, and did not double check if the backseat door was properly close, and didn't bother to lock the doors. So when she turned at the corner, the door opened and the child fell.

After the ambulance came and took child, along with the mother to the hospital, Nanjirou continued his drive home. As soon as he arrived, he practically ran into the house while calling out Ryoma's name.

"We're in the kitchen, dear," Rinko yelled, when she heard her husband's shouts. She looked at their three year-old son, who was sitting by the table eating some pancakes for afternoon tea. "I wonder what's wrong with your dad, Ryoma." The toddler just giggled.

"Daddy," Ryoma called out when he saw his dad entering the kitchen. He held up his arms, waiting for his dad to pick him up.

Nanjirou did just that when he saw Ryoma. He hugged the boy tight. "I'm so glad that you're safe."

Rinko looked at her husband, amused. "And why wouldn't he be?" Rinko was taken aback when her husband looked at her with tears running down his cheeks.

"Earlier, there was an accident, and the child, she…she fell out of the car and was run over. It made me think, what if something like that happen to our Ryoma too."

Rinko broke into a smile. "That won't happen," she said, with full confidence. "It won't happen because you're not careless, not when it comes to Ryoma."

"Daddy, why are you crying?" Ryoma asked, cupping Nanjirou's face with his small hands. Then, he kissed his dad's cheek. "Teacher says that a kiss will make the hurt go away."

"Yes, it will," Nanjirou, replied, hugging Ryoma close again, which caused the toddler to giggle. Rinko just smiled at the sight of her family.
