The First Victor

Sorry for takin so long guys. But happy late new years eve. So I think I might need a new Beta but I'm not sure

District 11: Autumn & Martin

"What did you think of district 11 when you saw their reapings?"

"I thought about how they would die"

Autumn

Before the Reaping

"Hurry up Autumn! Leave your hair like that! It fine!" My best friend, Oakley says. I laugh and rush towards the front door.

"Ready" I say.

"Finally! I will never understand girls" he says rolling his brown eyes.

"I'll never understand boys" I mock him. He laughs and sticks his tongue out. I giggle. I look at the cracked mirror I have. My dark brown eyes go well with my light brown skin. I smile at myself and head out. Playing around with Oakley. Unaware of the trouble. The hurt. The blood. The pain.

Unaware of my fate.

The Reaping

"Good luck" my friend, Honey whispers. I smile at her.

"Alrighty! Hello district eleven! I'm Priscilla, your tribute escort! It's nice to meet you all!" Priscilla smiles.

"She seems nice" I whisper. Honey smiles at me and nods.

"Well like the other districts, we'll start off with the girls, may the odds be ever in your favor!" Priscilla says.

She picks a perfect white slip and skips to the podium and unfolds the paper. Honey squeezes my hand.

"Congratulations to Autumn Odin! Come on up here hun!" Priscilla beams. I hug Honey and make my way up the stage. Making sure not to trip. What can I say? I'm clumsy.

"Autumn, everybody!" Priscilla says. It gets windy. Branches sway back and forth.

I smile at her and she returns it. I look at Oakley and see him looking at me with desperation in his eyes.I smile at him.

"I'm sorry" I let the wind say for me.

Martin

Before the Reaping

"Yo! Martin! Get to the reaping, or are you scared?!" Allen teases. I roll my eyes and go change at my house. You see I was never really one to be apart of the popular crowd. I mean you can say that I was alright but, I never really felt comfortable around them. So I left, and Allen made sure to give me hell for it. I don't care really. It's pretty stupid. Making fun of someone cause their not like you.

I fix my dark brown hair and head out. Bored and tired.

To be honest I really don't care about the games. I mean we're all going to die eventually right?

This just helps you get there a bit ...early.

The Reaping

"Alrighty! Hello district eleven! I'm Priscilla, your tribute escort! It's nice to meet you all!" Priscilla smiles. Someone's cheery.

"Well like the other districts, we'll start off with the girls, may the odds be ever in your favor!" Priscilla says.

She picks a perfect white slip and skips to the podium and unfolds the paper.

"Congratulations to Autumn Odin! Come on up here hun!" Priscilla beams. A girl from the 17-year-old section comes up. She has the typical district look, Which consists of dark brown eyes and brown skin.

"Autumn, everybody!" Priscilla says. The girl smiles at her. She looks at the crowd and smiles at someone. The wind making her hair flying everywhere.

"Now onto the boys!" She goes to pick up another white slip of paper and reads the name.

"Congratulations to Martin Lay!" She smiles at the boys. I step out if the 16-year-old section and make my way up onto the stage. Keeping a straight face and make myself seem bored.

It's not like it's a big thing.

"Where you surprised with their fate?"

"A bit"

"Why is that?"

"Well, you never really expected that from someone like these two"
