Vanitas wasn't quite sure, and this was just a theory… a theory in progress…

But he was pretty sure that in the Happiest Place On Earth…

You were supposed to be happy.

He found himself in the middle of this sickening amusement park. Rides everywhere, children and families and laughter everywhere. Ducks waddled around and children lined around the block for popcorn and balloons. Did he mention the balloons?

They were everywhere.

Vanitas hated balloons.

He didn't see the hype, honestly. There were a bunch of doofuses walking around in costumes, pretending to be some cute, cuddly creature when in reality…

It was just a bunch of losers inside those costumes making minimum wage.

But he found himself dragged into this situation, a pair of mouse ears placed on his forehead secured by a strap underneath his chin which irritated the hell out of him.

He looked down at his hand, his fingers twirled around hers. The sick, probably mentally-ill if she actually enjoyed this place, twisted female of his.

Or her formal and much more simpler title, his girlfriend.

Aqua looked up at him, a matching pair of mouse ears placed on her head as well and she smiled with a mouthful of blue cotton candy. "Teacups?"

Vanitas raised an eyebrow, looking over to the ride she motioned to. "That… looks… miserable." He growled.

She gave him this look. She didn't even have to say anything. He already knew what the look meant. It was something along the lines of: 'Why are you being such a cranky-pants right now, and why do you always have to ruin things with your grumpy attitude , Terra wouldn't act like this, blahblahblah, Terra is way taller than you and muscle-y-er too!"

That's how he interpreted it, anyway.

"Fine." Vanitas agreed, crossing his arms.

"No, no,no." Aqua shook her head, a small sigh escaping her lips and she crossed her arms as well. "I don't want to force you to do anything you don't wanna do."

Vanitas rolled his eyes. "Aqua."

"Yes?"

"I wanna go on the teacups with you."

"I'm not buying it."

"I wanna go on the teacups with you so much. It's the only thing in the world that could make my unbearable sad life happier, other than you being my girlfriend." He said with a heavy dose of sarcasm, his arms still crossed.

But it was somewhat true. She did make him a lot happier. And doing anything that made her happy, made him happy.

It was disgustingly sweet… Vanitas hated sweet things.

"You don't have to beg." She joked, sticking her tongue out. "Come on!" She grabbed his hand again, pulling him towards the line.

Besides the fact that he had to wait twenty minutes in a line and was continuously poked with a light-saber by a bratty kid and he wasn't even allowed to say anything because Aqua gave him that look again, it wasn't too bad.

Besides the part when they got off the ride and a duck chased him and he was almost touched by a balloon.

Those parts sucked.

But the rest of the day wasn't terrible, he wouldn't use the word fun but holding her small frame against his at the end of the night when the fireworks went on wasn't too bad, either.
