Kotoko was already seven months pregnant with her second child and was going through a very difficult time; she was having terrible morning sickness, ridiculous cravings and scary mood swings.

Kotoko's father was being emotional as always and telling Kotoko how proud he was of her and telling Naoki to do a good job like he always did.

Naoki's father was being supportive but stern on Yuki as he was getting big now and was going to inherit the family business soon.

Yuki was studying like mad and learning as much as he could about his father's company on a daily basis but still showed interest and support towards Kotoko. Sometimes he would babysit Kotomi but for a price since he had a social life and girlfriend.

Naoki was being supportive and was making sure to support Kotoko when she needed it and telling Kotomi to be helpful too as mummy wasn't feeling well.

Kotomi herself was very curious about the new baby and couldn't wait to meet her new baby brother or sister and tried to be as helpful as she possibly could.

At dinner

Everyone sat round the dinner table eating chicken curry and rice with green matcha tea since this was the only thing Kotoko was able to eat right now.

Mrs. Irie looked up at Naoki and Kotoko cheerfully "So have you two chosen a name for the baby yet it's gonna need one".

Kotoko stopped eating and touched her swollen tummy gently "Well I dunno I mean we'll decide when it arrives maybe".

Mrs. Irie shook her head "No No Kotoko-chan what if we dislike the name we must choose as a family" she said adamantly.

Naoki and Irie groaned simultaneously "Here we go again" they said.

Later after dinner

"I think Tetsuya for a boy would be good" Mr. Irie said stubbornly but Kotoko's father wasn't having any of it.

Mr. Aihara shook his head and folded his arms "NONSENSE! Hotaru will be the babies name because it will be a beautiful baby girl just like Kotoko was and her daughter Kotomi".

Mrs. Irie was having none of it "If I have anything to do with it the baby will have a gentle name like Kaede since she is nature's gift" she said lovingly her eyes shining.

Yuki sighed crossly annoyed from all the bickering and closed his book silencing everyone "Why don't we listen to Kotoko and see what she has to say after all she is carrying the baby".

Everyone shut up immediately and turned to Kotoko making her nervous to which Kotomi sat beside her mother and Naoki put his arm around her shoulder for support.

Nervous about all the attention Kotoko began to play with her fingers "Um well I…" she began shyly the pressure going to her head.

Kotoko's father was on his knees and begging with puppy dog eyes to which Yuki told him to cut it out crossly. Mrs. Irie was winking and pointing to her to which Yuki gave her a quick glare and she behaved herself.

Naoki leaned towards Kotoko's ear "its ok Kotoko I support you no matter what" he said gently making her blush yet feel safe.

Kotoko took a deep breath "For a boy I kinda like Ryuji" she said shyly her hands on her lap squeezed tightly together.

Mr. Naoki and Kotoko's father nodded "Very manly indeed only Kotoko could choose such a name" they said in agreement.

Kotomi looked up at her mother while touching her tummy "But Mama what about a girl?" she asked curiously.

Kotoko looked at Naoki who smiled at her to which Kotoko felt braver "I kinda like the name Asuka" she said gently.

Everyone agreed immediately since they loved the names so much and Kotoko and Naoki made their way upstairs with Kotomi.

Later

Kotomi lay in her bed anxiously "What if papa and mama love the new baby more than me?" she thought. She shook her head vigorously "No that will never happen papa and mama love Kotomi too much" she said desperately but she was still uncertain.

In Naoki and Kotoko's room Kotoko was wearing a large white bed robe her long orange hair flowing across the pillow and making peaceful sleeping sounds. Naoki smiled and kissed her forehead gently "Sleep well Kotoko I love you" he said stroking her hair.

Morning

Naoki, Yuki, Kotomi, Mr. and Mrs. Irie and Mr. Aihara were sitting at the table eating breakfast but Kotoko was feeling to unwell to eat so she was still in bed. It was a traditional breakfast of egg, sausage and toast for breakfast with tea or coffee and the option of marmalade, jam or butter.

Naoki spotted Kotomi's depressed expression upon her face and stopped eating "Kotomi are you ok?" he asked in a concerned manner.

Kotomi's palms became sweaty and she grabbed her fork and began eating quickly "N…No of course not papa I feel fine" she said nervously but Naoki wasn't fooled.

Naoki sighed heavily "Ok Kotomi what's the matter if you tell me I'll take you to the park and buy ice cream on the way home" he said with a devious smile.

Kotomi jerked the thought of ice cream made her mouth water and she loved playing at the park but she tried hard to resist but it was very hard.

Yuki chuckled "Oh this is fun she won't be able to resist".

Naoki sighed "Well ok if you don't wanna tell me…" he said pretending to get up.

Kotomi snapped "Ok Ok I'll tell you so please take me to the park!" she begged grabbing Naoki's sleeve.

Yuki chuckled "yep she's Kotoko's daughter all right" he said.

Kotomi blushed realizing she'd been played and sulked in the living room on the sofa to which Naoki came and joined her "Kotomi c'mon I was just teasing…" he said gently.

Kotomi frowned "You tricked me papa that's not fair" she said crossly.

Naoki chuckled "I know I know so what seems to be the trouble" he asked placing Kotomi on his knee.

Kotomi clung to Naoki's shirt and buried her head into his shirt "You'll forget about me…" she mumbled.

Naoki was stunned "What did you say?" he said unable to understand what she had just said.

Kotomi unburied her face "When the new baby arrives you'll forget all about me and replace me" Kotomi wailed.

Naoki went silent then burst out laughing to which Kotomi became cross and upset "Don't laugh it's not funny I was here before them!" she yelled.

Naoki smiled "I'm sorry Kotomi but don't worry you won't be forgotten mummy and me love you just as much and besides the new baby will look up to you when she is born" he encouraged her.

Kotomi wiped her eyes "Really?" she sniffed.

Naoki nodded and Kotomi jumped into his arms for a hug and he held her tightly and stroked her hair.

Later

Kotoko is lying on her bed with an icepack on her head and has a bad headache but her morning sickness has soothed down. Suddenly there was a knock at the door "Who is it?" she asked weakly.

The door opened and Kotomi burst through the door "MAMA!" she cried happily and jumped into Kotoko's arms who hugged her straight back.

Kotoko was surprised by the hug since she and Kotomi usually argued over the attention of Naoki "Kotomi what a nice surprise" she said gently stroking her hair.

Naoki entered the room and kissed Kotoko then placed a bowl of Miso soup beside Kotoko's bedside table and a bowl of rice with green matcha tea. Kotoko was shocked "You must be hungry since you haven't eaten all day" he said gently.

Kotoko smiled "yes I am thank you so much" she said happily and began to tuck into her food.

Kotomi ate her tub of ice-cream that Naoki's mother had bought while sitting beside Kotoko and waving her legs at the side of the bed. When she was done eating Kotoko pulled Kotomi onto her lap and hugged her gently stunning her "Mama I'm not upset…" she said in a shocked voice.

Kotoko stroked Kotomi's hair and wrapped her arms around Kotomi "You must have felt lonely right Kotomi well don't worry me and papa love you very much we'd never forget you" she said lovingly and kissed Kotomi. Kotomi smiled and nuzzled into Kotoko's warm bosom and Naoki leaned over and joined in the group hug also while an aura of happiness spread throughout the room.
