Ruby Peet is a solo agent.

She always has been. She always will be.

She can't remember ever having a partner for her missions, and she's pretty sure that having someone would be hard to forget.

Still, there's still a feeling that someone very important is missing.

The feeling is not always there, and it's not always blatant when it is, but every so often Ruby will come across something that makes her look twice,

like asthma inhalers

or braces

or candy.

She'll stare at it, trying to recall why this thing is important and who it's important to, but she'll always come up with a blank.

If there was really a mystery to solve here, her allergies would have acted up.

But they haven't, and Ruby is left with an unpleasant emptiness and nothing else.

It's when she finds herself staring at a bottle of craft glue that Ruby realizes something needs to be done.
