1 Year Later…

Beastboy's face was currently scrunched up in concentration as his fingers furiously moved across the game controller. He was currently in a competition with none other than Cyborg. As the finish line was in sight, Beastboy pressed the boost button and sped across the finish line with Cyborg close behind.

"Yes! I won! In your face tin man!" Beastboy shouted as he did his happy dance in front of a shocked Cyborg.

"You couldn't have won! I always beat yo scrawny butt!" Cyborg said as he frantically searched his controller for any tampering.

Beastboy rolled his eyes. "Yeah not today you didn't!" He said as he sat back down on the couch.

"I want a rematch green bean!" Cyborg yelled, starting up the game again.

"You're on!"

As Beastboy was playing with Cyborg, he couldn't help thinking of all the changes that happened in the past year. Though it wasn't easy, he gave up his life of thievery in order to be with Raven, and build his friendship back up with Robin.

But now, Beastboy was happy that he made that choice. He now had awesome friends including the tin man sitting next to him. But it wasn't always this easy. Cyborg didn't trust him at first and thought that Robin was out of his mind when he said that Beastboy was now a member of the Teen Titans.

The first few weeks of being on the team were filled with tense silences between Beastboy and Cyborg whenever they were alone. Cyborg would only talk to him if it was absolutely necessary. But finally the ice was broken when Cyborg saw Beastboy playing on the game station and gave him a few tips on how to defeat the boss. From there on, the two built a slow but steady friendship thus leading them to be good friends today.

Beastboy was broken out of his thoughts by a now familiar cheerful voice coming from kitchen.

"Good afternoon friends!" Starfire said as she walked in to the kitchen to start preparing her lunch.

"Hey Starfire." The two boys said as they continued to race.

Starfire was actually quite accepting of Beastboy, which was a shock to him. When he was first starting out on the team, she was the only one (besides Robin and Raven) to talk to him freely and openly. Beastboy couldn't help but like Starfire for her optimism and her cheerful nature and it was always fun telling jokes to her since she always laughed (though Beastboy knew that was from her not understanding them). Beastboy was really happy to have her as a friend.

Beastboy was once again broken out of his thoughts by Cyborg screaming in his ear.

"Ha! I won grass stain! The master has won again! Go Cyborg go Cyborg!" Cyborg yelled as he did his happy dance in front of a mildly irritated Beastboy.

Beastboy threw down his controller and folded his arms in front of his chest as he proceeded to pout.

"No fair dude! The one time I win and you just go right back and win again!"

Cyborg was about to reply when the common doors opened and Robin came walking through.

Upon seeing Robin arrive in the common room, Beastboy and Cyborg looked up to find the boy wonder himself.

"Hey guys." Robin said as he walked into the kitchen to grab a snack.

A chorus of 'hey's and hello friend' were his reply back.

"So BB are you up for some sparring later? No powers or gadgets just regular martial arts." Robin asked the ex thief.

Beastboy nodded his head. "Yeah sure Rob only if you promise not to be a sore loser when I beat you into the ground." Beastboy said teasingly.

Robin smirked at Beastboy's accusation. "Sure only if you promise not to go running to Raven when you can't beat me."

Beastboy rolled his eyes good-naturedly "Dude, there is no way in hell that you can beat me. There's just no way."

Robin just chuckled. "We'll see about that." And with that Robin was out of the common room.

It was good to finally have Robin back as his best friend. Sure, they may have a lot of catching up to do considering that they haven't seen the other in more than five years.

It was surprisingly easy to go back to being Robin's best friend. Beastboy was worried that, since he was on the team and that he hadn't seen Robin in five years, it would be awkward and weird to go back into the easygoing friendship that they had in the past. But as the weeks went by, Beastboy found himself joking and laughing easily again with Robin. He also found that Robin was more uptight then he used to be and found it his goal to loosen him up more now that they were best friends.

Beastboy sighed as he walked to the refrigerator and got himself a bottle of water. He twisted open the cap and took a sip before putting the cap back on. That was when he noticed that he hadn't seen a certain person come out yet.

"Hey guys where's Raven?"

Cyborg and Starfire looked to him and shrugged. "I don't know man did you up on the roof? She usually meditates there."

"Oh yeah! Thanks Cy!" Beastboy said as he ran out of the common room doors to the roof.

When Beastboy got up to the roof door, he opened the door silently and what he saw took his breath away.

Raven was sitting on the ledge of the rooftop looking down at the bustling city below. The sun's rays were resting on her softly and it made her glow. Her hair was blowing gently in the wind. She looked beautiful.

Feeling a pair of eyes on her, Raven turned around to see Beastboy with a dumbfounded expression on his face. Raven chuckled at seeing his face.

"Beastboy? You can stop staring now." Raven said.

Beastboy shook his head and found Raven looking at him. "Sorry Rae. I couldn't help it you just looked so beautiful." He said as he sat down next to Raven on the ledge.

Raven blushed slightly and playfully hit him in the shoulder. "Well still its impolite to stare."

Beastboy chuckled. "I'll try harder next time milady."

Beastboy still couldn't believe how incredibly lucky he was to have the girl sitting next to him as a girlfriend. He thought that he would never get another chance with her, but he was gratefully proved wrong. Now that he was no longer a thief, he could freely spend time with her and learn more about her and vice versa. Their relationship was now a strong and stable relationship built on trust and love. And Beastboy wouldn't want it any other way.

Beastboy blinked and the sound of his name and turned to look at Raven who had a slightly concerned expression on her face.

"What is it Raven?"

"I tried calling your name a couple of time but you were just staring off into space. Is something wrong?"

Beastboy grinned. "Nope. In fact, for the first time in my life everything is finally right."

Raven smiled slightly and leaned her head on his shoulder. "I might just agree with you on that."

Beastboy grinned and leaned down to kiss Raven. He may no longer be a world famous thief but he was now the luckiest man on earth with amazing friends and an incredible girlfriend. And he wouldn't trade that in for all the diamonds in the world.

And fin. Wow I never imagined for this story to be so popular but it is (at least in my standards!) and I only have my awesome readers to thank for that! I thank all of you for reading my story and taking the time to review, follow, and fav it. This has been an amazing experience and I hopefully will see you all later when I start on my next story!
