At first, I was intrigued by him. Such an odd man. Yet, in a way, it was wonderful. Then I became obsessed. With him.

"I think you're bored. You know, I get bored too. Why do you think I'm doing this? So... why don't we make a little deal?"

His brow furrowed, and I could tell he was attempting to think of what this deal might entail.

"Oh, dear, let me just tell you. I'm sure you'll be interested... especially when the life of someone you care about it at stake."

It was 2 am on a Saturday night. Only 6 hours since the offer had been made, and the deal had been sealed. John had told me goodnight and gone to bed a few hours ago. I stayed up, waiting. Anytime now... Finally, an alert emitted from my phone. I glanced at the screen.

I'm waiting.

Sighing, I stood up and opened the door to my closet. I knew I should look nice, whatever was going to happen. I wasn't just going to walk outside in a robe. Rummaging through my closet, I decided on an outfit. A dark purple shirt paired with black pants looked nice enough, without being overdressed.

I grabbed my phone off the dresser, even though I wouldn't be needing it. Just a necessary precaution. Especially considering who I away about to see. I wanted to have come method of contacting someone, if I had to.

Right on time, I realized as I glanced out the window. The car that waited outside was a sleek, black model that brought elegance and wealth to mind. It was certainly his style.

I quietly slipped out the front door and turned my coat collar up against the slight chill of the night air. It was dark out on the streets of the city, and there were several cars driving around. Probably some teenagers going to parties, going to have fun and get drunk and stay up late. As for me, I wasn't sure where I was heading. All I knew was that I must not be afraid.

"Hello, dear!" A loud voice called from behind me and I didn't turn around because it was all too familiar. I might not know what I was doing, but I knew exactly who would be waiting for me.

"Looks like you're obedient. I like that." He opened the car door for me, like a gentleman. But I knew he wasn't a gentleman. He was a spider, weaving people into his web so they would be forever trapped.

I shot him a glare, and stepped into the car, glancing around to see what I could observe about it. A Lamborghini, of course. I had to admit, he had good taste. It was immaculate, and smelled of his cologne.

Sitting next to me in the driver's seat, he smirked at me and said, "Oh, Sherlock. Look what you've gotten yourself into. Why don't we take a ride?"

"Let's." I agreed. Too many smart comments would only fire him up, and that was the last thing I needed. Just be obedient, don't act like your usual self and show off. Then it will all be over quickly.

He grinned, knowing that he made me, the great Sherlock Holmes, baffled. I grimaced, knowing that whatever was coming next would not have a good ending. In fact, I would be lucky to get out of this alive.

And with that, we sped off into the night.
