Over You

Staring at the darkened sky, Willow Rosenberg frowned as her thoughts raced. All she could think about was one thing. The one thing she has lost. Tara.

Weatherman said 'it's gonna snow'
By now I should be use to the cold

Closing her eyes as she felt the cold wind blow into her face, Willow took a deep breath to calm her thoughts, remembering the first lesson of the coven. "Never let the magicks control you." It was one statement she had to hear repeatedly. After losing the one good thing in her life, Willow had given in to the magick's seduction and let them take over her body and mind, allowing them to control her. Now she was fighting everyday to remain in control of them.

As her thoughts drifted back to her broken heart, Willow stared up at the sky.

Mid-February, shouldn't be so scary
It was only December
But I still remember
The presents, the tree,
You and me

Losing Tara had been the worst thing that could happen. Once Tara's light went out, the darkness had consumed. Now Willow was suffering to regain control of the darkness within her. As she thought about what that darkness had done, she felt guilty, knowing she tried to kill her friends and destroy the world. Tara would have been disappointed.

But you went away
How dare you
I miss you
They say I'll be okay
But I'm not going to
Ever get over you

Closing her green eyes, Willow smiled sadly at the image of Tara alive and well that always stayed with her. The moment when they had laid in bed, wrapped in each other's arms after getting back together again. It was one of the last happy moments she had had with the blond, and all she could hold on to. Tara's sky blue eyes had brought peace when they looked into her own green ones, and now she was fighting the battles alone.

Living alone
Here in this place
I think of you
And I'm not afraid

Thinking about Tara, Willow smiled as their song came into her mind, swearing she could still hear Tara singing it. She always felt calm when she thought of Tara's song for her. Always felt her fear of her magicks go away.

Your favorite records
Make me feel better
Cause you sing along
With every song
I know you didn't mean
To give them to me

As memories of Tara flashed through her mind, Willow remembered hearing Tara sing softly along with the radio, or singing in the shower. She always loved to listen to Tara sing. She just loved Tara. Everything about the blond had brought peace to her. Everything about her made Willow feel whole.

But you went away
How dare you
I miss you
They say I'll be okay
But I'm not going to
Ever get over you

It really sinks in
You know
When I see it in stone

Memories of watching them put Tara in the ground floated through Willow's mind. She remembered the funeral, remembered staring at the stone and seeing Tara's name written in the marble. She felt her heart break at the memory and looked at the sky as she whispered to her dead lover.

"Cause you went away
How dare you
I miss you
They say I'll be okay
But I'm not going to
Ever get over you."
