A 58 year old George Harrison laid on a hospital bed in Los Angeles, California.
Ringo and Paul sat beside him, Paul holding Georges left hand.
"I know we didn't have the best relationship, but I love you George." Paul admitted. "We've been through so much." George had lung cancer. He was a heavy smoker and throat cancer didn't make him stop.
"W-where's John?" A confused George look at Paul, then Ringo.
"John, he's gone mate." Ringo replied, looking to Paul, who looked back.
"Yeah, that's right." He said quietly, closing his eyes for a moment. "I suppose I'll be with him soon enough."
"Don't talk like that." Paul said. "You'll be fine, you'll make it." Paul knew he wouldn't, as much as he didn't want to believe it, he knew Georges life was nearing to an end.
"It's been a long, long, long time." George sung in a weak voice. "Now I'm so happy I found you. So many tears I was searching, so many tears I was wasting." He trailed off. "How could I ever misplace you?" Paul was trying his hardest to hold back his tears, Ringo was doing the same.
"That was one of my favorite songs, ya know that?" Ringo stated.
"We've been across the universe and back, haven't we? I think it's about time my journey ends. Richard," he said, looking to Ringo. "Take care of Paul for me." He ended with a chuckle. That was all it took for Ringo to start crying, he put his face in his hands and sobbed quietly. "No need for that." George said "Everything comes to an end."
"How could I ever have lost you, when I loved…y-you." Paul sang to George as the grip on Pauls hand loosened. Georges eyes closed slowly as a single tear rolled down his cheek. Paul let go of his hand and wiped away a tear of his own.
"Tell John I said I'm sorry."
A/N: The song George is singing is Long, Long, Long. It was written by him and is about God.
